Rated 1 out of 5 by Hate this faucet!!!!!!!!! I have had the Delta touch faucets (can't remember the name) in the past in two of my homes and absolutely loved it. Never had one problem. I currently live in a brand new home and purchased this faucet and I absolutely hate it!!!!! It is very temperamental, and frustrating to use. I constantly have to manually turn it on and off which defeats the purpose of having a touch activated faucet. According to the plumbing company that installed the faucet, it did not come with any directions which I find strange. My other faucet not only came with directions it came with a dvd to show me how to operate it. If I could swap this faucet out and get the old Delta touch I would in a heart beat!!!!! July 22, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Just what I wanted. My kitchen remodel isn't quite done but my sink and Delta faucet were installed about a week ago. I bought this faucet for the Touch2O feature and because the style is sleek and simple. The Touch2O is awesome and will take some time to get used to as I've never had this feature before. I look forward to the ease of use during food prep when my kitchen is complete. I'm curous as to how long the 6 AA batteries will last- they are needed for the Touch2O feature. My contractor installed the faucet so I can't speak to the ease of installation. July 2012 July 1, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Early failure of one solenoid was rapidly addressed We have 2 of these faucets in the kitchen. On one faucet, the touch2O solenoid became erratic, not always operating correctly when the faucet was cold. (ie hot water always worked correctly). Delta quickly sent a replacement part and we've had excellent function since. The other faucet has always performed flawlessly. It is extremely handy in the ktichen, when hands may be contaminated and you still want to turn on the water without putting meat covered hands on the faucet. One word of warning: One of our cats has started touching his nose to the faucet to start it running. We had to turn off the faucet manually for a couple weeks to prevent him from learning how to turn on the water. Don't let cats learn how to use them, they don't turn them off again. April 22, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Works about 8% of the time I had high hopes for this faucet, it looks great and melded with our design. For about two weeks it behaved very well. Then, it went mad. Battery replacements did not cure its ways. It is a great idea poorly executed. If the technology performed reliably it would be an asset. Since it is horribly unreliable it is at best annoying and at worst I want to rip it out and hurl it... I would NOT recommend this faucet. I hope that Delta will read this review and attempt resolution. July 1, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Stopped working after 24 hours I feel silly that I spent hundreds of dollars extra for this faucet. Although it looks nicer than the previous contractor supplied delta faucet, the touch feature went haywire after 24 hours. For the first day it worked flawlessly and we were really excited by how nice it was to have water quickly with just a touch of the wrist. Installation was easy. Now it is possessed. It turns on randomly (came home to find the water running...can't imagine what my water bill will be) and then doesn't turn on now except if you repeatedly touch a certain part of the base. Made sure there are no leaks and that everything was connected and the battery pack has nothing around it. Not sure what to do except to always make sure the faucet is off and then deal with trying to make it come on after. Will need to contact Delta. October 20, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Looks great stopped working second day! We had this product installed by our contractor. It took him forever to install and he seemed skeptical about its functionality. We have been waiting for our kitchen to be completed for more than 6months as we were scammed by a local company who promised jobs to more than 30 people and stole their money, etc. we were so excited to finally have a sink in our kitchen and the first day we went to clean up the dishes so we could cook a meal the faucet stopped working completely! The light turned red and the faucet stopped running. We had to call our contractor who used the bypass so we could get water without using the touch feature. Very irritating as the guy was so nice he interrupted his weekend with his girlfriend to come and fix for us. Don't buy this, I will be looking for a different faucet, that is assuming I can return it... December 7, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Horrible Product We purchased this faucet summer of 2015 and it has been one of the worst products I have ever purchased. In the first 6 months it worked half the time right but till shut itself off or came on when you didn't want it to. Now, in the past 2 months, if you turn it on, it will go on and off, on and off, on and off every 10-15 seconds. For a Delta Product and a $500.00 product it is not worth $5.00. DO NO waste your money, you will be totally disappointed. January 17, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by We regret paying extra for the "touch" feature. The touch feature generally worked after being installed by professional plumber, however, it was touchy. It would go off or on if your hand was near the faucet, not touching it. Most of the time, when I turn it to on position it comes on then goes off when my hand moves away. A couple months later, we came in from the backyard to find the faucet running. No one was in the house to turn it on. After that, we figured it was too risky to leave it in the touch position and always turned it to the off position. I was regretting paying extra for this feature, but then, this morning, I could not get the faucet to come on at all no matter what I did. I am so unhappy with this and do not want to replace 6 batteries, only to find out that doesn't help and don't want to continue to replace batteries for a feature that doesn't work adequately anyway. Can the handle of be mounted in any position?

In our particular application, the faucet is very close to the backsplash area. I fear that normal right side mount Will not provide sufficient space to turn the lever to cold water. I would like to mount the handle facing forward.

Thank you for your question. The faucet is only designed for the handle to be installed on the right side. However, the handle does not move backward past the upright position.

Answer:
Hi suan25,

Thank you for your question! The faucet can be operated manually by disconnecting the battery box while the water is running. It will remain in manual mode until you reconnect the batteries. Another method is to remove the solenoid assembly and connect the hose directly to the faucet under the sink.

Jon

Can the handle be mounted on the LEFT

I currently have a kitchen faucet with a detached handle mounted in a hole 4" to the right of the faucet. I'm looking to replace this setup with a single handle kitchen faucet that will let me mount the handle on the LEFT side so I can use the existing hole 4" on the right for a filtered water dispenser. Questions: 1) Will this faucet let me mount the handle on the left? 2) Is there anything related to mounting the faucet that will interfere with my re-use of the hole 4" to the right of the faucet?

Answer:
Hi Dr. Horse Jumper,

Thank you for your question. The faucet is designed for the handle to be installed on the right. Unfortunately, installing it on the left will cause the handle to rotate backwards, and the LED light will not be visible.

Hi Digitron6, Thank you for your question. We offer 2 styles of beverage faucets. The model 1914-CZ-DST which has a traditional style and the 1977-CZ-DST which has a transitional design. Neither are an exact match for the Trinsic model 9159T-CZ-DST.
