How to install an Addison faucet with Touch2O® Technology

Quick Start Guide

Reviews

Rated 3.3 out of 5 by 73 reviewers.
Rated 1 out of 5 by Good in theory but not in reality. Overall poor design.... Worked fine at first, then thought the batteries needed replacing, it has been all downhill from there. Inconsistent functionality, the Touch2O rarely works properly, usually no water flow when turned on, have to pull the faucet head in and out to get the water to flow, sometimes cycles rapidly on and off, cannot leave in touch mode because will turn on and off on its own, very difficult to regulate the temperature, etc etc... Was installed by a plumber. Would never recommend the touch feature and have told others not to purchase. A faucet should not be so difficult to install/use this is why I feel the overall design is poor. October 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Effortless to Use Very pleased with the look and function of the Addison Touch kitchen faucet and matching soap dispenser. Everything about this faucet is effortless. The spray/stream buttons are easy to use. I liked that the spout itself is so large - you can grab and hold it without getting your hand in the way of the water stream. Many other spouts did not feel as comfortable in my hand because they were just too small. The Touch function is great and reliable. I also like that the handle sits higher than most other faucets, so it doesn't appear to 'crowd' the soap dispenser next to it. This faucet is eye candy on my large kitchen island. January 17, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Expensive faucet for such random functionality I purchased this faucet one year ago and had great luck for the first 6 months. I have done the troubleshooting suggestions to no avail. I wish I had read all of these reviews before purchasing. The touch feature of the faucet worked beautifully then began to act up, sporadically turning on and off, turning on when no one is near it, won't turn on at all when touched, etc. The red low battery indicator light has never come on, but I have changed the batteries several times hoping that may help. At this point I have simply taken the batteries out to save my frustration. I love the look of the faucet, but this was a very expensive faucet to simply work as a "normal" faucet. November 19, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Frustrating We bought and installed this about a year ago. For the first several months it worked perfectly...then the issues. Coming on by itself, not coming on when tapped, etc. Very disappointed with this product. We researched faucets forever and were convinced we made the right choice. After saving for twol years to re-do our kitchen and splurging for the touch control, I feel foolish and wish I stayed with a traditional faucet. As a military family, we've moved a lot and completed many renovations over the years and we've always used Delta products (faucets, etc) and this is the by far the worst experience we've had. November 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by We love it!!! Faucet works great. The one we replaced would either be hot or cold. Difficult to get warm. This one is very easy to adjust and holds the temp well. The finish is good and it doesn't show fingerprints or water marks. Cons: Would like a plug in adapter for power. Also, the battery pack should be designed so it is easy to mount on the inside of the cabinet. Cons: The mounting system could be a little easier. Found it difficult to be in contorted position under the counter so I could use 2 hands to hold up the plastic mounting plate, turn the hold down nut and hold the water lines to the side so you could turn the nut. At the end of the day - once it was installed, we love it. January 19, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by Has a mind of it's own Similar to the lmc14 review of Oct 20, 2014. Doesn't stay on until touched/tapped again, has turned on and off ( few secs) when no one has touched it, the grab function only works occasionally. Whether grab/touch/tap may run 5 to 15 secs and then shuts off. To fill a pan we need to repeatedly tap each time it shuts off until we reach the amount of water needed. We have all Delta products in our home and always have. This was a large purchase for us, and we feel very disappointed for the price we paid plus the cost of the plumber to install it professionally. Would be worth both if it worked as it should. March 25, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by Beautiful faucet, "touch" is a bothersome gimmick. The faucet is beautiful. The "touch" feature is just a bother. I never use it. I just use the faucet by turning on the water the usual way, however when I do that, the water keeps turning off. I paid a lot of extra money for this feature as it sounded like a good idea. I'm taking out the batteries and will just use the faucet without the "touch" feature. So - I would buy a Delta faucet again, just not with the gimmick of "touch". I have other Delta faucets in my house that have been there for 15 years and are still in great condition. It was very difficult to install. November 11, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic Faucet I have two Touch20 faucets installed in my home. One that I installed two or three years ago in the main kitchen and this one that I installed in our mother-in-laws apartment. It is unbelievably convenient, especially if you have dirty hands. Just touch the spigot with your arm and the water is on, or off. If you want to call it a downside its that one becomes so used to the way it operates it soon becomes second nature. Touching it to turn the water on or off. It's really comical, my wife and I watching one another when in someone else's home. Touching, sometimes slapping, their faucet several times to turn the water on before realizing it's not a Touch faucet. I don't believe anyone would go back to the old style faucet after using a Touch20 faucet. We've never had a problem with the Touch20 faucet installed in the main kitchen. This one however developed a wee (not even annoying) drip about a month after I installed it. I only bring this up to tell how quickly Delta responded. I called Delta and within two or three days I had a new control box in hand. It took me about five minutes to install the new one. They are a little expensive but I think I'm going to install them on my laundry sinks as well. July 30, 2015

Hi Chris, Thank you for your question!
You can unscrew hose from spray head and clean debris
from screen - the screen is located just inside the
spray wand where the hose would thread into the wand.

Hi mav,

Thank you for your question! If your unit was manufactured after in 2015 or later, the EP73954 power supply can be used with your faucet.

http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairpa...

If your unit was manufactured prior to 2015, you will first need the EP74852 solenoid assembly, which will allow you to connect the AC adapter.

Hi Kev, Thank you for your question. The larger button on your model 9192T-AR-DST faucet toggles the water between the stream and spray settings. The smaller button boosts the flowrate from 1.5 gpm to 2.0 gpm in the stream mode.

Hi Mike, Thank you for your question. Please check the LED wire for a strong connection where it plugs into the solenoid valve. Also make sure the wire is not pinched between the sink and mounting hardware. If you continue to have issues please contact our toll free Helpline at 1-800-345-3358 for further assistance.

What would cause a drop in water presssure on hot side only?

We have noticed a recent drop (50%) in pressure on the hot side. We pulled the connector to the cut-off and did not find any sediment particles clogging at that point. Are there any other internal filters to clean besides at the sprayer head?

Love the faucet, just a little irritated at the super low flow.

Answer:
Hi Del, We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your model 9192T-RB-DST faucet. There is a debris screen in the solenoid valve that can be removed and cleaned. I have attached the a picture below that shows this process. Since the drop in pressure is only affecting the hot water you will want to verify that the 2 check valves supplied with the faucet are attached to your supply stops/shut off valves. You may also pull the RP50587 valve assembly/cartridge and make sure that it is clean and free from debris.
Thanks,
Dave

Someone commented that the faucet does not work without the battery. Is that true? Can it be used manually without battery?

Before purchasing, I just want to confirm that this faucet will work like the one without the touch feature if we chose not to use it. Can I use it manually without a battery?
