Cassidy Single Handle Pull Down Kitchen Faucet 5 5 4 4
Beautiful, functional faucet Just purchased this faucet for our kitchen remodel and absolutely love it. The design is very sophisticated with minimal detail which is what we were looking for. The pull-down works wonderfully and we use it all the time. Having the "magnetic locking" system was a feature of Delta faucets we definitely wanted. Most other brands do not offer this. The warranty on this faucet is great also. The only minor negative is that when turning on the water, the water pressure may be either not enough or too much for what you need to do, and you have to adjust the handle a bit more. Overall, this is a great faucet. We also purchased the matching soap dispenser and are very happy with it as well. June 20, 2013
The style of this faucet is perfect The style of the Cassidy pulldown is perfect for a tradition or transitional kitchen. The function is unmatched the in kitchen faucet arena. The pulldown feature is easier to use than a pullout, the Magnatite docking feature keeps your spray head where it's suppose to be and the Diamond Valve is going to keep it leak free for years even in areas with hard water. Solid performance and easy to install I've always used Delta faucets due to the availability of repair parts. When deciding on the new faucet for our recent kitchen upgrade, we looked at many but ended up picking this one. My wife loved the design and feel of it. For me, the best feature of this new Delta was how easy it was to install once our new countertop and sink was in place. I didn't miss having to fumble with a basin wrench while under the cabinet. This new design makes it so much easier to mount that I just can't say enough about it. Once installed we love the way it works and looks. March 21, 2014
Fantastic Faucet Remodeled kitchen. We looked at 100 faucets. I love Moen but the wife liked the design of the Delta so we gambled and bought the Cassidy pull down kitchen faucet in oil rubbed bronze. We had a professional plumber due the install. No issues. I saw reviews where the faucet could fall over during install and offered to hold it for the plumber so the finish would be damaged if it hit the Quartz counter top. Wife loves the faucet and matching soap dispenser, and air gap. The hose does not tangle. It took her a few times to figure out how to push it back up...now no issues. The spray and regular volume of water is good. Loves the controls handle size and placement. Finish is terrific, love the patina. She washes her hair in the sink so the pull down feature gets a workout. The faucet does spin around but no problem with spraying on the counter top. The soap dispenser works terrific and holds 8 or 10 ounces. Easy to refill with the funnel I got her when I ordered the faucet, air gap, and soap dispenser. If any thing changes I will come back and provide an update. It's been used 5 weeks. Highly recommended. September 30, 2013

Can someone tell me the vertical distance (space) between the valve and the sink / escutcheon?

Our dishwasher air gap is mounted just a few inches from the hole for the faucet. It's been heck trying to find a faucet that has a right-side control lever that doesn't interfere. This model appear to have a higher mounted control lever but I can't find the measurement in the specifications.

On the Cassidy 9197-RB how do I remove the filter on spray head to clean?

On the Cassidy 9197-RB how do I remove the filter on spray head to clean?

I see how to unscrew the spray head itself, but is there a way to clean being the filter on both sides? It appears the aerator side has a metal ring that can be removed--how do you remove that?

I have low flow on this faucet but not others. I have checked the connections, etc.

Answer:
Hi Linda, Thank you for your question. The spray modes on the model 9197-DST work on a toggle type switch. You will move the switch between the stream and spray modes. When you turn the water off it will remain in whatever mode you were using. The faucet does not switch back to the stream mode automatically.

Dave

Answer:
Hi Busymom, Thank you for your questions. The Arctic (AR) finish used on the metal and non metallic components of the model 9197-AR-DST faucet is not metal, it is considered a plating finish. There is a toggle switch that allows you to switch between spray and stream modes on the wand, you do not have to hold it down.

Dave

Answer:
Hi RMM, Thank you for your question. The 62" is the length of the hose itself, not the reach of the faucet. The hose will extend approximately 18" to 24".

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP1002AR will work with the Cassidy faucet. However, we recommend Delta Faucet model # RP71543AR to coordinate with that faucet. It is still up to the customer's preference to pick one.

Thank you for your question. The difference between the two valves is how they operate. The "Euromotion" valve operates to the side as well as back and forth. Both valve contain our Diamond Seal technology.

Thank you for your question. Although the finish on the Delta Faucet model # 9197-AR-DST is extremely durable, it can be damaged by harsh abrasives or polish. To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel.

Can the on/off handle on the Cassidy model be put in front, rather than on either side?

I prefer to have my hot/cold selection be left and right, instead of front and back. Is there any reason why this could not be done?

1. Which way do you move the side-mounted lever handle to turn the water ON - Up or Down; Front or Back?

2. Does the pull down spray wand have a water shut-off button? That is, can you shut the water flow completely OFF from the pull down?

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 9197-AR-DST is turned on by pulling the handle to the side. The water is made hotter by pushing the handle to the back and made colder by pulling it to the front.

The only way to completely shut off the water is to use the handle on the side. The spray wand will switch from spray to stream but not turn the water off completely.

Answer:
To turn the faucet on, you move the handle out. Front and back are the temperature control. Back being hotter, cold is forward.
There is not a shut-off on the pulldown spray attachment, just a rocker switch for spray and regular flow.
