Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 77 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by After Owning the Faucet for a Year, the Faucet Drips I love the looks and the function of my Allora faucet. However it is very aggravating that you have to place the handle in a very specific location to stop the drip when you turn the water off. I see from the reviews that this is a very common problem. In some of the reviews the technician has responded with an email offer to follow up on a solution to the problem. I would like to solve the problem. I am going to first try the tightening of the handle set screw. What worked for the others that have this persistent drip. July 13, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by I like this faucet. Has worked great with no leaks. Starting to wear out and durability is a concern. We have really liked this faucet and it looks great in our kitchen. I am concerned now because the spout has started loosening...appears to be a worn out bushing. Also the sprayer no longer stays seated. Looks like the Magna Tite bushings that hold sprayer in place are worn and have started to crumble apart. I expected we would get much more life out of this faucet. April 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Sleek design and a diy'ers dream to install. By far the easiest faucet I've ever installed, step by step instructions are so easy to follow, it's completely fool proof. The weighted pull out sprayer retracts back into the faucet flawlessly and with little effort. And the magnetic sprayer head stays put. I've purchased other name brand faucets in the past and they don't come close to the quality of a Delta. July 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by A tip for folks who've had this faucet for more than a year Some reviewers have commented that after a year or so, the Allora handle has to be positioned just right to shut the water off completely. Do this test. If you can jiggle the handle slightly and it seems to wobble, it's likely that the setscrew that secures the handle to the cartridge stem is working loose. It just needs to be tightened. See the parts diagram PDF file at http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/989-ar-dst.html?document=mi&fromDetailArea=kitchen&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper There's no need to turn off the water valves supplying your faucet to fix this. First, plug any sink drains so you don't lose any small parts. Then, on the lever handle, use a sharp knife point to pry off the small red/blue "hot/cold button." Using the 1/8" Allen head wrench (included with the original faucet or go buy one at the hardware store), simply tighten the set screw. Check that the handle is snug as you operate it. Snap the button back on and you're done! December 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Nice faucet...great company Installed faucet in 2008. Had several problems in 2014. Dripping and stuck toggle on wand. Company happily sent replacement parts which did the trick. Wife recently complained about the finish chipping and cracking (deteriorating really) at the base. I called service rep who couldn't have been more helpful. They are sending out a replacement part as we speak. In this day and age of poor customer service, I am overwhelmed by getting a human being on the line at 5pm on a Saturday with only one IVR question asked. And she was all about getting it done. Really good products. Really excellent customer service. I am redoing bathroom this winter. Will require Delta products. October 24, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by The one I got does NOT have EZ Anchor mounting assembly Overall I'm pleased with the faucet but I ordered it in part because it is listed as one of a few faucets that uses the Delta EZ Anchor mounting assembly. Mine did NOT. It wasn't especially difficult to install given that I needed a tool to remove my old Moen faucet and that tool helped me install the Delta. June 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Great Kitchen Sink Faucet The Allora kitchen sink faucet is well designed, durable, very high quality and durable. Delta re-engineered so it can be installed only by working from the top of the sink, which is a tremendous improvement. The only under-the-sink-work needed is to connect the water lines. But Delta even improved the water tie-in by designing long flexible plastic lines that mate with the 3/8" female fittings at the shut-off valves. The latest design faucet is much superior to the first model designed seven years ago. The MagnaTite docking now encloses the magnet in extruded plastic so it'll never rust and will last forever. The extendable hose is very flexible and easily retracts the spray wand back into the goose neck. And the flexible hose never leaks water at the base of the swivel goose neck, which is the source of the hard to clean mineral deposits that accumulate on many other faucets. The spray wand flicks between the spray and jet patterns with one hand operation. I love it. Way to go Delta! January 30, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by This faucet has a great design, has drip issue We are having the same issue as this previous reviewer...The Faucet has a nice design and features but it is hard to close the water fully. For some reason it needs to be close on a very specific way so it does not drip. It started to do this about 2 years ago.. May 29, 2013

Hi Smokie, Thank you for your question!
Yes, the O-ring is on the hose where it threads into the back of the spray wand.

I have an Allora faucet already installed in the sink. It's loose and I can't remove the chrome outer casing.

I'm afraid I will crack the granite if I use a tool. How do I remove the outer parts to get to the two screws in the EZ Anchor mounting bracket? Thanks.

Answer:
Hi Eric,

Thank you for your question. To access the screws for the EZ Anchor mount, first disconnect the hose from under the sink by removing the clip, then pull out the hose from above the sink. Lift firmly on the spout to remove it (if there is a gray button on the back of the spout, press it in while lifting the spout). Insert the EZ Bar or a screw driver into the holes of the brass tube that the spout attaches to. Turn counter-clockwise to loosen the faucet from the EZ Anchor to reveal the screws.

Please note that a previous version of the faucet was mounted with a nut and bracket under the sink.

Best regards,
Jon

Answer:
Hi Eric,

Thank you for your question. Slide the EZ Anchor assembly into the hole. Turn the jack screws until the black wings have securely tightened the assembly in place. Slide the supply lines into the EZ Anchor assembly, making sure to align the handle with the cutout. Before installing the spout, slide the included EZ Bar into the brass tube at the top of the faucet body and rotate it clockwise to tighten down the faucet.

Please refer to the installation instructions for more information:

Can the handle on the Allora be mounted facing forward?

My wife is left-handed... I am right-handed. If the control handle can be mounted so it faces the the front of the sink, we can both use it with equal ease. But the head must still be able to swing fully to the left, and to the right. Is that possible?

Answer:
Hi Dave,

Thank you for your question. The handle could be mounted toward the front, however the temperature control will be opposite from what is standard. Hot would be on the right and cold on the left. You can correct this by reversing the supply line connections under the sink, but the red/blue button on the handle will not indicate the correct temperature.

Jon

Answer:
Check that neck swivels enough to work that way. I'm thinking it should. If so, then I don't know why you couldn't mount the control handle in the front. We had interference with the window sill over the sink so our control handle is mounted slightly forward and works without a problem.

Answer:
It shouldn't. I suspect you have some debris in the line between the tank and your faucet (maybe the aerator?) that was stirred up while replacing the water tank. Another possibility is that if ALL your faucets were affected, maybe the valves to and/or from the water tank are not fully open.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 989-AR-DST is turned on by pulling the handle to the side. The water is made hotter by pushing the handle to the back and made colder by pulling it to the front.

The only way to completely shut off the water is to use the handle on the side. The spray wand will switch from spray to stream but not turn the water off completely.

I need a replacement soap bottle for my year old Allora soap dispenser

Customer avatar

I heard an unidentifiable thud, and started looking around the kitchen to see if I could find what may have caused the noise. I didn't find anything that night ,however the following morning I did find dish detergent ooze coming out onto the floor in my kitchen. The neck of the plastic bottle that contains the detergent had snapped- off . There does not appear to be a part number on my parts"summary" so that I may purchase the plastic bottle only,as the dispenser is intact ,aside from the now useless plastic. As I currently own 8 Delta faucets, and we are not finished with the remodel, and having displayed such loyalty is there any possiblity that I may obtain another bottle to once again make use of the dispenser? Sometimes service is what separates the A companies from all the rest. Thank you . Vickie Allen
