Leaky Faucet - Allora
The Faucet has a nice design and features but it has been three years since I installed it and it is hard to close the water fully. For some reason it needs to be close on a very specific way so it does not drip. it started to do this about 2 years ago.. It was fine before but know I have to be careful how I close it so it does not drip water.
My husband has replaced all the gaskets multiple times and still the problem comes back after a few months of use. The seals just seem to wear out then the leaking starts again.

Good but...

This faucet is so handy!
I purchased this faucet 3 years ago and it still works like new. It is so much easier to use than a faucet with a side spray and the design is superb.

great product at a great price
i wanted this faucet because of its neat and streamline appearance. the delta name and reputation was a major factor also. after it was installed it went great with our new granite countertops. looking forward to years of dependable service from it.

Excellent Faucet
Bought this faucet because of its sleek lines. Love the sprayer and ease of handle. Bought it originally for kitchen renovation. Now that we own new home I'm upgrading my kitchen faucet to this same one.

not what I expected
Great faucet, won't retract without some help. the weight is on there unobstructed, still needs help retracting. I would not buy this again

There are black particles coming out of the faucet. The hose, when removed to clean, had larger black pieces. What to do?
We removed the hose in an attempt to clean it because there are black particles coming out of it. A white "pipe cleaner" came out black when inserted in either end of the hose. This indicates the hose is lined with black, built-up crud.
What can be used to clean it or prevent it from this build-up in the future?

1. Which way do you move the side-mounted lever handle to turn the water ON - Up or Down?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 989-AR-DST is turned on by pulling the handle to the side. The water is made hotter by pushing the handle to the back and made colder by pulling it to the front.The only way to completely shut off the water is to use the handle on the side. The spray wand will switch from spray to stream but not turn the water off completely.

I need a replacement soap bottle for my year old Allora soap dispenser
I heard an unidentifiable thud, and started looking around the kitchen to see if I could find what may have caused the noise. I didn't find anything that night ,however the following morning I did find dish detergent ooze coming out onto the floor in my kitchen.The neck of the plastic bottle that contains the detergent had snapped- off . There does not appear to be a part number on my parts"summary" so that I may purchase the plastic bottle only,as the dispenser is intact ,aside from the now useless plastic. As I currently own 8 Delta faucets, and we are not finished with the remodel, and having displayed such loyalty is there any possiblity that I may obtain another bottle to once again make use of the dispenser? Sometimes service is what separates the A companies from all the rest. Thank you . Vickie Allen
