We replace our old style faucet (one faucet with two twist handles for hot and cold) with this touch product. It is so much more convenient and the touch feature is the best!! When my hands are covered with food prep 'stuff' being able to just touch with a wrist or non dirty portion of my hand to turn on the water is unbelievably cool and convenient. Love the design, it makes our kitchen appear much more modern, a major improvement. Would recommend this to everyone!!

The faucet looks great and worked fine for the first year. After changing the batteries, it has become possessed. It turns on by itself or shuts off abruptly when you need the water running. I contacted Delta and the customer service rep was helpful. The faucet then worked fine for about three weeks. Then it went back to its erratic behavior. I tried changing batteries, resetting, leaving unplugged for two days, changing the batteries again...nothing seems to work.

i was excited to get this faucet for a christmas present, but for the price just a regular faucet would have worked better. the touch faucet sometimes comes on without being asked and then you always need to touch it to change the temperature, washing your hands to getting a drink. the style is really nice and i do like the pull out head with spray, but not really sold on the touch part.

Initially we liked the faucet. A bit pricey for the touch on/off feature but I could see how it could spoil you. This was for the first month. Then it started to stay on all the time. I removed it and reinstalled it following the directions (because that's how I do everything). It worked for about a day, then back to the old never turning off by touch. I changed the batteries, unplugged wires and replugged them in and sometimes it works for one or two times then back to the old never turning off. The blue light works great when touched, the valve doesn't do anything. The faucet design is very nice but I'm very disappointed in the touch technology and wouldn't recommend it. For half the price and no crawling under the sink every other day to trying to make it work, a regular faucet is the way to go.

2 month review of the Delta Ashton Single Handle Pull-Down Kitchen Faucet featuring Touch2O® Technology.
I am writing this review from the stand point of a product designer/ home owner. 2 months ago I purchased the Delta Ashton. I found several positive and negative features about the faucet.
-The look and feel of the material finish is excellent.
-Finger prints are not major issue
-The layout and assembly of the water line are quality
-The customer service is good
- The water always default to a low flow setting which is nicely pair with a boost button for filling pots of water.
-the touch sensor “Touch2O® Technology” has a 4 minute shut off. I like to put the faucet on a slow trickle to fill my Brita pitcher and walk away.
Now for the Bad
In my mind this bad out ways the good, it is downright shameful. Please decide for yourself.
-out of the box the touch sensor did not work. The sink would randomly turn on and off. So I called Delta, they kindly walked me through a series of trouble shooting steps. (very nice people on the phone) It turns out a bad group of sensors maid it out of the factory. It took 3 weeks to get the new part. So that meant I paid a plumber twice. So we are at $300 bucks to install.
-I get a call from delta to see how the part was doing, which is very nice. I ask the phone tech how long does this part last and how much is it? She said the sensor part is $140, if it is under warranty it is free, and if it is not and you own the faucet it is around $70. So how long does it last? Well if your water is hard or dirty about 2 year, or if it is clean it is about 5. So my Delta faucet with a “Touch2O® Technology” has a consumer cost of about $150 labor plus $70 parts, if I am luck about every 3.5 years. So all the money saved in water is just sent back to delta plus some. This is return on investment is awful, and sad.
Conclusion Buyer Beware!
Delta mostly makes good products, and stands behind them. But the “Touch2O® Technology” is not worth any investment. Save your money and more immortally your time and just get the faucet without the “Touch2O® Technology” you will not be disappointed. The “Touch2O® Technology” part should not cost more than $20 bucks to make by this point. It is not like Delta was planning for them to last more than 5 years in an ideal setting, or where they?
When the part breaks again I will update this review with a time. Also I will not replace the “Touch2O® Technology”. The faucet will just be a standard delta, or maybe I will just switch it out with a different brand. It will depend on how much it bothers me to look at it. With its “Touch2Infuriate® Technology”

We were remodeling the kitchen and my wife fell in love with this faucet. Who does that? Not me. That's what I told the sales guy at Home Depot -- when he showed us this THE MOST EXPENSIVE thing that just dispenses hot and cold water. Or so I thought. Turns out, this actually saves me money. It turns itself off after running 2 minutes and not being touched. If only I could get the shower replaced to do that. Installation was a no-brainer - I left it to the professional plumber. This faucet never fails to impress guests when they try to turn it on. All the women want it. All the guys shrug and have another beer. All good.
