Delta Soap/Lotion Dispenser 1.8 5 10 10
extremely disappointed! Do not recommend! I purchased to for my kitchen sinks when my house was built 4 years ago and have never been happy with this soap dispenser or faucet. It is very hard to pump and get the soap out. Now it doesn't work at all and we take the pump out and wipe our hands on the plastic to get soap on our hands! The faucet pieces have been replaced twice as well. Not a good product. July 8, 2013
disappointing pretty design, like a watering can, but extremely difficult to push down dispenser and it squeaks. July 24, 2011
Looks great & works well too January 4, 2011
Very dissapointed - brand new soap dispenser does not work (hoping customer service can save the day) . Hello Delta, I see others are having the same problem I am, although ,maybe not quite as quickly. I purchased this soap dispenser a few months ago and installed it along with a new granite countertop and new Delta faucet. But now after only two months it no longer sits flush with my countertop and does not anchor to the bottom housing piece securely (it spins around and is not pumping well, barely pumps at all). I was hoping to find installation instruction manual online to see if I could troubleshoot, but cannot find this information. At this point I am very disappointed in this product, and am hoping the customer service can help re-build my confidence in Delta. Thanks, Bill in NY March 23, 2014
Very poor design. I bought this along with my faucet and water dispenser (which I love!) and it broke after about 3 years. Delta was very, very good about sending me a new one, for which I am very grateful. It is being installed right now. I had asked the store to beg Delta for a simpler designed dispenser, but they sent me the same one. The plumber and I were in complete agreement about the poor design. My question is: if this one breaks, do you just send the same one again? December 19, 2013
Never worked right Let me start by saying I am a huge Delta fan. Used custom Delta hardware throughout my new home (literally everything in 5 bath, laundry room and kitchen with two sinks)... the one piece that was awful from the start was this soap dispenser. Does not attach properly (spins) and does not pump soap properly/at all. I'd love to talk to a Delta specialist about replacement options as I had my Granite drilled for counter mount. March 9, 2014
Poorly made I have had nothing but trouble since installing this soap dispenser 2 years ago. It has never sat flush with my granite countertop because it won't anchor to the bottom housing piece. It spins around instead of remaining facing the sink. It has never pumped easily and has now completely quit pumping. Truly disappointed in this delta product and also having issues with the faucet. November 17, 2013
Worked great for about 1 year.....then... Love the design, look & finish. Worked great for about 1 year. Now it squeaks and will hardly dispense any soap. Internals must be weak or cheaply made. Hoping to return for warranty replacement. September 7, 2014

Pre-purchase Q's: Soap/lotion dispenser functionality

Hard to believe one dispenser will work for both soap and lotion. Any guidelines on types of lotion most suitable for this item?
Can it dispense pump foam soap?

Thinking about installing 2 dispensers (1 soap, 1 lotion) in case I need the hole in my granite in the future for a garbage disposal. I'm looking at the Allora line. What other soap dispense style/model will look good with the Allure dispenser so they are different but close enough to look good. Thinking a slimmer look would be best

Answer:
Thank you for your question. The Allora faucet does have Delta Faucet model # RP47280 recommended to go with it. However, you can choose any soap dispenser that you would like for your lotion and soap dispenser.

As long as your soap and lotion are in liquid form, the soap dispenser will function properly. The foam soaps or really thick paste-like lotion will not work in the dispensers.

Parts

It was my understanding that the soap dispenser package included a funnel to fill it. I received no funnel. There are no directions as to how to open the dispenser and how full it should be filled so to allow air into the bottle and pump to function properly.
I don't want to force it open & break a mechanism.

Thank you for your question. Funnels are not included with our soap dispensers. All of the Delta Faucet soap dispenser are recommended to be filled from the top. We recommend filling it to the neck of the bottle.

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Remove the bottle (1). Separate head (2) from body assembly (3). Make sure gasket (4) is properly seated in the base of the body assembly. Insert body assembly through selected hole in sink. Secure body assembly to sink with nut and gasket (5). From under the sink screw the bottle (1) onto the body assembly shank, then attach head assembly. Note: To fill, lift the head and pump assembly out of the bottle and pour not more than 8 oz. into bottle. DO NOT remove the bottle each time as this weakens the neck. Use a funnel to help prevent spills. Pull pump and head assembly out occasionally to soak and pump warm water through pump to remove soap build-up. Note: Initially it may take up to 12 pumps to bring soap to the pump tip.

Ok, you have no technical documents available, no illustrations with the previous questions, very poor instructions in the previous answers,if we didn't install the unit, which I didn't.
I tried the quarter turn, nothing, I tried removing the pump top, only to find a minuscule little orifice. ( if that is the hole to refill, I am returning this product). Long story short, for someone who has not seen any technical instructions, did not install the product. Just exactly how does a person refill this? Remember you handle this every day, I don't, so please utilize layman's terms

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP47280AR does fill from the top. Almost the whole soap dispenser comes off the top to fill the bottle. There is a seam at the bottom so you can see where the dispenser is split.

Still do not understand how to refill RP47280 from the top.

The only way I see to take the entire dispenser out from the top, as you suggest, is to unscrew it and by doing that the bottle that is under the deck will fall. What part on the top unscrews and what part on the top stays in place in order to keep the bottle underneath in place?

Answer:
We do apologize that you are having trouble with this. The bottle is screwed onto the shank and the top of the soap dispenser is screwed onto the the other end. It should not fall if the two are taken apart. If you turn the soap dispenser about a quarter turn and then lift it off, you should be able to fill the bottle down through the shank.

How do you pull the pump out of to refill dispenser RP47280?

In my previous question I asked how to refill dispenser RP47280 and the answer I received was to pull the pump out. To pull the pump out I unscrew the very top knob on the dispenser and then what? How do I pull out the pump?

How do you refill dispenser #RP47280?

Can this be refilled from the deck or is the only way to refill it by crawling under under the sink and taking the bottle out?

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet part # RP47280 is recommended to be filled from the top. Just pull the pump out and pour the soap inside. We do not recommend unscrewing the bottle everytime to fill it.
