What repair kit can I purchase for a 25 yr old B4410LF?

My 25 yr old faucet is leaking at the base of handle. Lower volume at the cold (right) side as the water pressure is deliberately set low but on the( left) side because of the dishwasher it is set much higher and the leak on that side is much greater. What "complete" repair kit do I order?

Answer:
Hello Al!

Thanks your for your question! You don't have the B4410LF as that faucet is not as old as yours. It's probably a 400 series faucet or something similar. Regardless, the RP3614 would be the correct kit to order.

Justin

Is the RP3614A repair kit correct for older kitchen faucets?

I have the Classic Single Handle kitchen faucet. I found an info sheet for the "Waterfall" model that looks like the one I have. I have leaks around the base of the handle and the spout above the sink. No leaks below the sink.

The only repair kit available at my local dealer is the RP3614A kit. Is this the correct repair kit?

The other video you mentioned is very clear about doing the handle repair, but I'm not sure how to take apart the spout assembly. Is there a video that shows the spout repair? Is the spout repair done from above the sink, like the handle repair?

When I remove the spout bonnet, I see the white plastic spout retainer, but can't see how to remove it.

Thank you very much for your help.

Answer:
Hi Joe, Thank you for your question. The RP3614A repair kit offers the correct repair parts for your single handle valve assembly but the provided o-rings will not fit a Waterfall spout. Those o-rings are available as RP22934. You will need to gently pry apart the spout retainer to remove it from the spout. A tab on the retainer slides into a slot on the spout. Here is a link to the Waterfall parts diagram to help with your repair.

Does rp 3614A include the O rings for the spout

The base of the spout is what appears to leak, and I assume these O rings need to be replaced, as well as the internal pats.

Answer:
Hi Lew, Thank you for your question. The 2 o-rings included in RP3614 are the spout o-rings that are accessed by removing the spout. Replacing these o-rings should stop the leak around the base of the spout.

small blue plastic ring

I just repaired my delta bathroom faucet using the RP3614A kit with the one piece cam/packing. On the bonnet, in the inside there was a very thin circular hard plastic o type ring.

I took it out and it seems to work fine. No leaks, etc. Should I have taken it out or left it in? I have four more of these faucets that I will eventually need to repair.

Hi Gcohen6,

Thank you for your question. If you are repairing your faucets with the new Delta Faucet model # RP3614 that has the one peice cam and packing, you will need to take the adjusting ring out of the top of your old bonnet nut. It is all one piece now.

Thanks.

Answer:
The blue hard plastic ring is under the bonnet on mine also. It is about 1.5" diameter is about 1/16" square rather than an O ring. It is not the adjusting ring.

Is this part needed? It is not on the parts list included with the faucet. Mine is a 500 series with the crystal single handle and uses the RP212 ball.

Leaving Off the Adjusting Ring on Older Models

All my faucets are from 1993 when home was built.
Single Handle Kitchen (probably Model 300) looks like RP61 cam is used for repair with RP70 ball.
For the single handle (Acrylic Knob) bathroom faucets and shower faucets it looks like cam is RP188.
All my older faucets have the white plastic adjusting ring on the chrome bonnet/cap.
Not clear in kit instructions... but I'm being told that with newer cams such as RP61 and RP188 that the white plastic adjusting ring should be discarded, even if using the ORIGINAL serrated (no wrench flats) bonnet. If using RP50 replacement bonnet, also discard adjusting ring. Newer RP1050 replacement bonnet doesn't have/need the adjusting ring..
So is it true that adjusting ring should be discarded?

Answer:
Hi wraujr, Thank you for your question. The older versions of the RP61 and the RP188 cam and packing came as 2 separate pieces, these units used the adjusting ring if necessary to tighten down the cam. The new RP61 and RP188 cam assemblies are a 1 piece design and are thicker. If you replace the older models with the new you will want to remove the adjusting ring in the cap/bonnet.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Hi Slowrunna, Thank you for your question. We do not have a repair kit specific to the model 470. The equivalent parts to the RP3610 kit for the model 470 would be the RP61 cam assembly, the RP4993 seats and springs, and the RP32520 o-rings. Here is a link to the parts breakdown.

Answer:
Hi Felix, Thank you for your question. The RP3614 Repair kit contains the parts that you need to stop your dripping model 403-SSWF faucet. The seats and springs are the parts that wear over time. Make sure your RP70 ball assembly is also clean of any mineral build up before reassembling your faucet.
Thanks,
Dave

Thank you for your question. As long as you have the Delta 600 series(common for 25yrs ago) that has the ball assembly inside the RP3614 kit will repair the leak.

Diverter in bath tub spout leaking

Does the repair kit RP3614 include parts that can repair the diverter on the spout? The color of the whole set of fixture is no longer available from Delta. I want to keep the matching spout, and not replacing it, if I can. The spout was installed 34 years ago.

Thank you for your question. If your tub spout is leaking, the only way to repair it is to replace it. The tub spout does not break down into parts that can be replaced.
