Currently we have a drain cap that screws into place. It serves no purpose other than preventing small objects from falling into the drain pipe. If I shave, I cannot fill the sink with water. I must run the water. Is there a replacement drain cap that I can purchase that will function as a stopper? Do I need to replace the entire drain assembly in order to have a push-down stopper? My faucets are all Delta oil-rubbed bronze along with the drain caps. Hoping that I have provided a clear description of my situation. Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Answer:
Hi Dom, Thank you for your question. If you currently have a grid strainer drain assembly you would have to change out the whole assembly to convert to a model that allows you to stop the water. We offer several styles of push pop up drain assemblies for vessel sinks with or without overflows. Models include 72172, 72173, 72174, 72175, 72177 and 33W576. All are offered in the (RB) venetian bronze finish.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Hi David C, Thank you for your question. If you need the gasket that is part of the stopper assembly it is not available as a separate item. It can be ordered as part of the RP16686 stopper assembly.

Answer:
Hi Kateg, Thank you for your question. There is not a way to modify the drain assembly that comes with the Tolva faucet to work with your no overflow sink. We recommend using our model 72172 push pop up less overflow.

Push pop-up drain height adjustment

I have a Delta 72172-SS drain. Due to the bevel of the sink, the drain cap must be partially unscrewed to allow for full travel. Can the height of the internal drain threads be adjusted to allow the cap to be screwed in fully?

Answer:
Hi TJ, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately there is not a way to adjust the internal threads on the model 72172-SS drain assembly. Our model 33W576SS push pop drain assembly does not have the larger sized plunger and may work better for your application.
Thanks,
Dave

Don't have model number, but it is about 3 years old. if I look underneath the stopper, there appears to be a set screw on the shaft of the drain stopper. I tried to loosen this screw but it was too tight, or just stuck from years of use.

Answer:
Hi Brenda, Thank you for your question. You can order a metal pop up assembly as a replacement part. The RP5651 is the pop up assembly and lift rod, the RP26533 is the pop up assembly with no lift rod included. Make sure to order in the appropriate finish to match your faucet.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Hi Concerned, Thank you for your question. You do not need to put anything on the threads of the flange. You do want to put silicone on the underside of the flange to help seal it to your sink.
Thanks,
Dave
