I have not been able to remove the bonnet with slip lock pliers. How do I remove it?

I have had the bonnet off in the past. The last time was about five years ago when I replaced the seats and springs.

Answer:
Hi Tommy, Thank you for your question. Often mineral build up will make it diffcult to remove the bonnet. We recommend soaking a towel in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water and then wrapping the towel around the bonnet. Allow to soak in overnight if possible. The solution should help break up the mineral deposits making it easier to remove the bonnet. The bonnet will unscrew in a counter-clockwise direction.
Thanks,
Dave

Hi Valp, Thank you for your question. A 1/8" allen wrench should be the correct size to remove the handle.
