Answer:
Hi Lew, Thank you for your question. The new RP46073 does not require that the adaper be screwed into the valve body. If not installed properly the screw on the older model would damage the cartridge.
Thanks,
Dave

Update finish

I have a delta 14 series pre2006. What are my options for trim kits to update from chrome to rubbed bronze? I purchased a bronze trim kit 14-17 to find out the adapter does not line up and you do not make an adaptor for pre2006 models. Is this correct? I do not want to tear our the entire faucet, just update the finish with a bathroom remodel.

Thanks

Answer:
Hi Whit, Thank you for your question. You can use any of the current T13/T14 series trims with your pre 2006 rough in valve. The new trims will ship with a new cartridge, this cartridge will not work with your existing valve. You will need to continue to use your existing cartridge or replace it with a new RP19804. The T17, and T17T trims will not work.
Thanks,
Dave

I have Single Handle Delta Monitor Series 18

I purchased a RP 46463 Cartridges replacement Delta Genuine Parts. The adapter assembly that is in the old shower has a screw that holds it in place. The adapter in the RP 46463 has a new adapter but no screw hole to attach the assembly. I replaced the cartridge without putting the adapter assembly in because there was not a screw hold. The faucet still leaks.
Any suggestions ?

Answer:
Hi Buddy, Thank you for your question. You will still need to install the cartridge adapter. The screw was removed as it is not needed to hold the adapter in place and would cause issues if not threaded in completely.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Hi Glacier, Thank you for your question. Unfortunately the upper grey portion of the cartridge is not available as a separate item. The entire RP46463 cartridge will have to be replaced.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Hi Russ, Thank you for your question. The RP46073 will not convert your 14 series to a 17 series. If your 14 series is newer than February 2006 the rough in should be the R10000 multichoice universal rough. To convert to a 17 series you will only need to order a new 17 series trim which will include the new cartridge to make the transition. If your existing faucet is older than February 2006, the entire faucet trim and rough will have to be changed.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP46073 has a tool for applying the quad seals to the valve. This may not be included in the picture in your manual. If you can tell us what model number you have, I can look up that specific one to find out how it is different.
