how is the aerator removed? It appears from the site's picture that it should unscrew. Is this correct?

Answer:
This will depend upon which version of the faucet that you have. The older 2.2 GPM can use the RP46827 while the newest version 1.8 GPM is supposed to use the RP70718. The RP46827 has a 15/16-27 thread and is about 24 mm in diameter. The smaller aerators are about 21.4 mm.

Answer:
Hi Patty, Thank you for your question. We offer the RP51505 Cache aerator adaptor that will adapt the aerator threads on the model 11946-SSSD-DST to standard 55/64″-27 male threads. You can then add a swivel aerator to the adapter.
Thanks,
Dave

Answer:
Delta does not provide the size specifications anywhere that I have looked so far. Their customer support also does not have any specifications as well.
I have the Bellini kitchen faucet but an older version that has a maximum flow of 2.2 GPM. The newer ones have a 1.8 GPM flow so the aerator is a different size.
The thread size is what is needed and this aerator is listed as having a 15/16-27 thread size. I took my old aerator to Home Depot and used their thread guide to determine the correct size and I was able to purchase a generic swivel aerator to fit the faucet. It does not look that great but it is better than no aerator at all.

Answer:
Hi Paul,

RP46827 is a M21 thread size. RP51505 converts the M21 threads to 55/64ths. Then, you would be able to use RP63137 (swivel aerator).

Connecting a faucet-mounted water filter

Customer avatar
by
Josh
I am trying to connect a PUR (or any other) faucet-mounted water filter to my Delta 21902LF faucet. I need an adaptor that will convert this custom aerator to a more standard size. If an adaptor is not available, I need to know the exact thread size and diameter of this aerator, so I can locate an adaptor. Thanks for any help you can provide.
