Rated 5 out of 5 by from no scalding feature I love the anti scalding feature. Having been used to 2 handles for hot and cold, i didn't think i would like having a single handle, but i do.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Outstanding Quality and Looks Brass valve body with Delta quality and warranty. Valve operates smoothly, very pleased with finish and looks. Shower head could use a little more pressure but works just fine. I have no problem recommending this product as long as you have good water pressure.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Quality This product was the perfect finishing piece in our new shower. We remodeled the guest bath a couple of years ago and the shower head is still behaving as if it were brand new - that means a lot to us since most of what's out there these days should be considered as "disposable" products, due to its poor quality and craftsmanship. Thank you Delta for not sacrificing quality for lower production costs!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaking shower head problem Similar experience to other reviews in that when the water is turned on, water streams from the shower head. Took the control valve apart and everything looks fine. Seems like a bad design as the only comments on this product are all related to the same problem. Now the bathroom wall is sealed up and tiled so replacing it isn't going to be easy. Very dissapointed!

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water does not stop in off position I read the other review and found that it mirrors my issue also. There is an apparent design flaw in the shut-off mechanism. We installed the shower and water began pouring from the shower head. After a lot of effort, we decided to replace the unit. After opening the second unit, it appeared to have been a re-conditioned shower assembly as there were some minor parts missing, it was not properly packaged, and the instructions were water stained. (Perhaps returned by someone else?) We tried it anyway as the important parts were there. It too leaked from the shower head in the off position. We are very disappointed in this model and plan to try something else.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Water streaming out of shower head when not engaged. Plumber installed the Windemere unit that was purchased from Lowes. Immediately following the water being applied, water streamed from the shower head. Plumber reviewed installation procedures i.e. valve right side up, distance from valve-to-faucet (10.5 inches (8-to-18 required)), 1 elbow to shower head and 1 elbow to faucet. All was installed correctly. Plumber contacted Delta which reviewed the installation procedures, and once again all appeared to be installed correctly. Plumber then purchased a second Delta valve, same problem. I made the decision to return the Delta Windemere unit ($217.00) and purchased an American Standard system. After installation of the American Standard unit, all worked perfectly. Delta, you really need to check you quality control or maybe the design of your Tub and Shower system. As it stands, I'm not at all impressed with the functionality of your products. My wife and I are very disappointed and will probably not purchase another Delta product. Ralph

Hi, I have the single handle m1400 series trim kit with the RP19804 catridge assembly. Which of the newer (last 1-5 years or so) shower/tub trim kits can be used with this? I see that the windmere collection can be used. Is there any other collections?

Asked by: Jettaa72
Thank you for your question, Jettaa72! Any current T13/T14 Multichoice trim kit that uses the RP46074 cartridge will work with an older 1300/1400 series valve body, however you will need to continue using the RP19804 cartridge as the Multichoice cartridge will not fit into an older valve body. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/showering/tub-and-shower-faucets?facetHandle=singlehandle&ValveType=Single-function+pressure+balance+cartridge Best regards, Edward

How do you adjust the hot water setting, do I have to turn the water off to do so? I remember adjusting it but need to have more hot water.

Asked by: Dave176571
Hi, Dave176571! Thank you for your question. You will not have to shut off your water to adjust the rotational limit stop on your valve cartridge assembly. Here is a how-to video on how to adjust the rotational limit stop for your faucet: https://www.deltafaucet.com/video-gallery/video-page-1?videoId=n2_uZ7wgV1I Best Regards, Rosanna

Colors and Cartridges

If I am trying to match this kit with a three way arm diverter and hand shower unit that only come in venetian bronze, how noticeable is the color difference? Also, my existing delta trim kit is from an unknown year but is a 1400 series model. Will I need to purchase a different cartridge than what the newer 1300 and 1400 series trim kits come with?
Asked by: OCD Remodeler
Hi OCD Remodeler, Thank you for your question! The finishes are similar but not quite the same. Venetian Bronze is a dark brown color with copper buff marks throughout the finish. Oil Rubbed Bronze is even darker, almost black, and has the copper color only along the edges. You can use the new trim with the rough-in for your existing shower using the original cartridge (or RP19804) rather than the cartridge that comes with the kit. Best regards, Jon

Need to adjust the amount of hot water

The handle will not allow me to actually have hot water. It stops the rotation too soon. I see someone else has asked this question but the link provided does not go to the information I need. Please advise how to adjust the handle so we can actually take a shower with water that is above lukewarm.
Asked by: MDS
Hi MDS, Thank you for contacting us! On a new installation you may need to adjust the Rotational Limit Stop from the default setting to get hot water. Please see our How-To Video for adjusting the RLS. https://www.deltafaucet.com/cms/render/live/en/sites/delta/home/video-gallery/video-page.html?videoId=n2_uZ7wgV1I Best regards, Jon

I have a 20 year old Monitor shower faucet but don't know the model.

I want to change to a rubbed bronze finish unit. What new model can I use to accomplish this?
Asked by: glenn
Hi Glenn, Thank you for your question. The model you have is in the 1500 series. Any Monitor 17 series trim kit that we make should work with your existing valve. However, you will need to purchase an RP32104 cartridge to use instead of the cartridge that comes with the trim kit. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp32104.html Best regards, Jon

Does this shower valve have a scald protector?

When I turn the water all the way to the hot setting, it gets hot but not as hot as my other shower. We have our hot water heater set very high. I cannot handle the hot full power on my other units. It seems like the water does not get as hot as the heater puts out. Thanks. It is not a problem, I am just curious. We love the controls.
Asked by: Avilasailor
Hi Avilasailor, Thank you for your question! The cartridge has a Rotational Limit Stop, which can be adjusted to change the maximum hot setting. Please see the video linked below for help adjusting the RLS. http://www.deltafaucet.com/shopping-tools/research/video-gallery/video.html?v=n2_uZ7wgV1I&cat= Best regards, Jon

Can I use this to replace the Monitor 1300 / 1400 series? It is from 1997 and has the crystal knob.

Asked by: Kay
Hi Kay, Thank you for your question! This kit can be used with a 1400 series valve. You will need to use the existing cartridge (or RP19804) rather than the cartridge that comes with the kit. Best regards, Jon

Asked by: Penny
Hi Penny, Thank you for your question. The shower arm that you have with your model 142996-OB faucet is the only one offered in the OB oil rubbed bronze finish. We offer a 7" long model RP40593RB in the venetian bronze RB finish that is styled the same as yours. We also have several longer shower arms that will point into the tub at a 90 degree angle. 16" long RP46870RB and RP61273RB, and adjustable from 13" to 22" U6930-RB. Thanks, Dave
