Rated 4 out of 5 by from Flood after install Cartridge failed 6 hours after install and flooded my bathroom. I suspect that it was caused by the installer, when he sweated it in and still had the cartridge installed. Replaced the cartridge and haven’t had any problems since.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Excellent Quality! I just renewed my bath and I got this set for my shower. Looks nice!! Just a question, my hot water it’s not hotter as it used to be. I don’t know if you can calibrate it to get hotter water in the maximum position. Thanks!!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from SUPER SIMPLE! Great retro fit! Please read review! Note, if you are replacing existing hardware pre 2006, you DO NOT have to change the plumbing in the wall, but do yourself a favor and buy a $40 replacement blender cartridge as well. The one that comes with this unit is JUST LIKE the existing assembly except one thing...the spacing of the Hot/Cold nipples in the back. I have attached a photo of the old valve below. I rebuilt it using the new valve...I swapped the new springs and all O-Rings.The new cartridge will NOT fit in your existing blender body in the wall, but that's ok, it's designed to work with the existing plumbing...you just have to reuse your blender valve. It's designed to do so, but is briefly mentioned in the manual...but I did not see mention of it on the box.

CAN I PUT THE DISTANCE BETWEEN THE HANDLE AND THE TUB SPOUT AT 24"

Asked by: FRANCES
Thank you for your question, Frances! It is only recommended to install a minimum of 1/2" (13 mm) copper pipe or 1/2" (13 mm) iron pipe in a straight drop no less than 8" (203 mm) but no more than 18" (457 mm) long between the valve body and tub spout with only one iron pipe or copper 90 degree elbow to the tub spout nipple. Do not use PEX tubing for tub spout drop. Anything outside this range can cause shower rise, a condition where the shower head and tub spout run simultaneously. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/72264%20Rev%20G.pdf Best regards, Edward

Question on Step B-3 (Copper Sweat Installation). Which side do I solder on the adapter? The side that has the O-Ring or the side of the threaded end?

Asked by: danm
Hello Daniel, Thank you for your question. Step B-3 of the Maintenance/Installation document, regarding the different tub spout installs, shows the o-ring on the front side of the pipe and adapter. You would also solder the adapter to tube taking care to keep solder away from O-ring area and groove. The o-ring should also be removed from the adapter before soldering. Best regards, Tanya

Is it possible to just get the shower head and control nozzle parts as our plumber already install Delta guts behind the tile. In the Sawyer bronze style.

Asked by: K6592
Hello K6592, Thank you for your question. The Delta Sawyer Tub and Shower 144766-RB model is only manufactured as a complete trim and valve faucet unit. The Sawyer collection does not have a shower only trim kit. Best regards, Tanya

can I get a hand held shower to match the sawyer line

Asked by: anng
Hi, Anng. Thank you for your question! We do not make a hand shower in the Sawyer collection, but we do have options with similar features. The Tesla collection has a rounded rectangular design. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/showering/showerheads--handshowers?collections=Ribbon&collections=Tesla%C2%AE There are a couple options to divert the water between the showering components. The first is an in-wall diverter. For this, you will need the R11000 Rough-In Valve and a Diverter Trim Kit to match your shower valve trim such as the T11852-SS. You will also need a supply elbow for the hand shower hose, such as the 50560. The second option is to use a shower arm diverter, such as the U4923-SS-PK or U4929-SS-PK. Best regards, Jon

Can I use a hand wand with 144766SP in place of the tub fill ?

Can I use a hand wand such as Model # 75529SN with Model 144766SP in place of the tub fill ? I am remodeling our master bath shower. If so what else would I need ?
Asked by: EC
Thank you for your question, EC. You may install this unit without the tub spout. However, the bottom port must be capped as connecting a hand shower to the bottom port would cause water to flow from the hand shower and shower head at the same time. Instead, you will need to use a 3-setting diverter. There are a couple options to divert the water between the shower head and hand shower. The first is an in-wall diverter. For this, you will need the R11000 Rough-In Valve and a Diverter Trim Kit to match your shower valve trim, such as the T11852-SS. You will also need a supply elbow for the hand shower hose, such as the 50560-SS. The second diverter option is to use a shower arm diverter, such as the U4923-SS-PK or U4929-SS-PK. Best regards, Jon
