Delta SpotShield Technology helps to keep your faucet or shower cleaner, longer by resisting water spots and fingerprints. Keep your space spotless with SpotShield Technology, available across a variety of finishes for the kitchen and bath. While other products may gather unsightly mineral build-up over time, Delta soft rubber Touch-Clean spray holes allow any mineral residue to simply be wiped away for an instantly refreshed look with no need for soaking or the aid of chemical cleaners. The pause setting gives you ample space for shaving, lathering and other shower tasks, then easily restarts the water with the temperature where you left off. This spray setting helps you conserve water, so you can worry less about depleting your supply of hot water - and you help the environment too. Delta pressure-balance valves use Monitor Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. The muted shine and subtle warmth of Brushed Nickel brings harmony to your bath and can be paired with almost any decor. Delta WaterSense labeled faucets, showers and toilets use at least 20% less water than the industry standard saving you money without compromising performance.
  • SpotShield technology helps your faucet stay cleaner, longer by resisting water spots and fingerprints
  • SpotShield technology with antimicrobial protection of the finish resists odor-causing microbial growth on the finish
  • Monitor pressure balance valve keeps water temperature within a safe 3°F (1.6°C), helping to protect you from sudden changes in hot or cold water pressure
  • Spray settings include: H2OKinetic spray, full body spray, full spray with massage, massaging spray, and pause
  • Pause feature reduces water to a trickle, giving you space for shaving, lathering and other shower tasks while maintaining your temperature settings
  • Soft, rubber touch-clean spray holes allow you to easily wipe away calcium and lime build-up from the spray face of your shower head and hand shower with the touch of a finger
  • Optional tub spout cap installs as a shower only or as a bathtub/shower
  • Complete unit includes trim and multi-choice universal valve with rough-in
  • Pull-up tub spout diverts the flow of water from the tub spout to the shower head
  • ADA compliant lever handle
  • WaterSense labeled shower heads use at least 20% less water than the industry standard without compromising performance

Rated 4 out of 5 by from 5 in 1 We just remodeled our restroom and had this faucet installed. I really love that it has 5 different settings and the pause setting is the best, since you're able to stop it and get a drip when you turn it back on the temperature stays the same. We did have some issues in the beginning but reached out to Delta to get a replacement piece which arrived in 2 days and the issue was resolved. I do wish the pressure was a little better.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good looks! I like the design an the ease of use. My only complaint is the water pressure is really low. Not sure if it’s a problem on my end or not. My old Delta faucet had more pressure.

can I buy just the showerhead and turning handle for just the shower? I do not need the tub spout.

Asked by: Marsha
Thank you for your inquiry, Marsha! The Delta Portwood Tub and Shower 144770-SP complete faucet is not sold as a shower only unit. However, you do not have to install the tub spout, as long as you remember to cap off the bottom port of the MultiChoice Universal Rough-In valve. Best regards, Tanya

We just moved into a house with this model. I'm having trouble getting the shower to engage. Is there a secret to this that I'm missing?

Asked by: Paul
Hi Paul, Thank you for your question. The water is diverted to the shower head of the Delta Portwood Tub and Shower 144770-SP model, by pulling up on the diverter lever on the top of the spout. Please feel free to call, email, or message us on social if there is anything else you need. I've just installed this faucet in my shower and I'm getting ready to caulk around the escutcheon and the tile of the shower. However, I'm considering caulking around the sleeve and the escutcheon. Is that recommended? What about the screw heads?

Asked by: Mike
Thank you for your question, Mike! We do not recommend applying caulking or sealant to the screws or sleeve as these are parts that may need removed for occasional maintenance or repairs. The escutcheon plate will come with a gasket; however, a small bead of caulking or silicone can be used behind this area if needed. Best regards, Edward
