Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible faucet This was installed a week ago, the faucet continued to drip constantly. Then suddenly began spouting enormous amounts of water. It was taken apart and found that the seat blew out. Put it back together, leak continued and within two days the seat blew out again. I don't even know how this is possible. The faucet is brand new and is unusable

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fourth delta I have three shower valves that all are the delta porter brushed nickle. They are a nice product. Just got a fourth, this one is the bronze porter. It is not installed yet. Water spots I have noticed though on the brushed nickle. I have a water softner and wipe all water after each use. I saw another person mention this to issue too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best Don't remember when we installed this - sometime in the last 5-6 years. The spout started leaking early this year when the diverter is pulled up for the shower. It has got progressively worse and now we have as much water leaking from the spout as going up to the shower. My other bathroom has had a Moen for over 15 years and works fine.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great Look I really enjoy our new DELTA faucet. It is just the right touch for our new bathroom. Bronze gives just the right color with a white tile bath.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good Quality I bought this product since I have always had high performance with Delta products and replacement parts. Unfortunately, with this model, it spots very easily since we have hard well water. Also, I expected more water pressure with a larger shower head. Not so. Apparently, with clean water consumption regulations, it is only a 2.0 psi and not that great. more like a gentle rain shower. like the heavy quality and basic operation of hot and cold. has a hot water adjustment, so you can set it higher than normal.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Decent product, but they don't make 'em like they used to. When I purchased my house twenty years ago, it had Delta faucets throughout. It's time to remodel, so we decided to stick with Delta. Delta is still a better than average brand, but the newer designed faucets are nowhere near the quality of the older ones. This is just a sign of the times. The actual problem I am having is that I replaced the old shower valve with the new one that came with this faucet. The valve assembly sticks out almost a full inch further than the old one. This makes the center trim sleeve an inch too short. I hope delta has an answer to this other than tear the wall apart and recess/replumb the valve.

what about the tub drain? do you have one that matches

Asked by: carl
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144984-OB has a couple of bath waste assemblies that are similar in color but not exactly the same color. There is Delta Faucet model # RP691RB which is a trip lever. There is also Delta Faucet model # RP693RB which is a toe operated drain. This finish is a Venetian Bronze and it will compliment the Oil Rubbed Bronze but it is not exactly the same.

When I turn my water off the water contines to run. Ive replaced the springs and seats. However the tubes with the o-rings (rp14414) remained in the mount. Is the unit broken or can I pull it out?

Asked by: Jacks
Hi, Jacks! Thank you for your question. There are two parts to the valve cartridge assembly, the top and bottom. If the bottom part of the cartridge is still in the valve body, please remove by taking two flat head screw drivers or butter knives and putting them into each side of the cartridge, between the inside of the valve, and work the cartridge out. Once the bottom of the cartridge is out, connect the two parts of the cartridge together. To reinstall this back into the valve, push the cartridge straight in. Do not twist the cartridge or the cartridge will separate again. If you should need anymore assistance, please contact us back. Best Regards, Rosanna

I have a delta fixture that says "Monitor" onthe bottom of the ring.It was installed in 1994.Will the 144984ob that I purchased hook up to it

Will I be able to mount this unit into the existing body
Asked by: Gene
Hi Gene, Thank you for your question. In 1994 we had several different series of faucets that would have "Monitor" on the escutcheon. If your faucet has a single control that only controls the temperature, not the volume of the water and turns counter-clockwise to turn on and clockwise to turn off you can use the model 144984-OB trim with your existing rough in valve. The new faucet will come with a new cartridge. The new cartridge will not fit your existing rough in valve. You will have to continue to use your existing cartridge or order a new RP19804. If your current faucet offers a single handle that controls water volume, and a smaller knob at the end of the handle that controls water temperature you will have to replace the rough in valve to be able to use the 144984-OB. Thanks, Dave

In the specs, it say says its Universal. Would the spout attach to a stub that is 1 in long?

Asked by: April
Thank you for your question, April! Unfortunately, we do not make 1" tub spout connections. All of our tub spouts are 1/2". I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Best regards, Tanya

Can you use a tub/shower faucet on just a tub with no shower

Asked by: vickiem
Thank you for your question! Delta Faucet model #144984-OB can be adjusted to run as a tub only model. The valve body (Delta part #R10000-UNBX) will need to be plugged at the shower outlet with part #RP20032 or RP76.

will this trim work with the 13 series

Asked by: bryant
Thank you for your question, bryant. This kit will include a MultiChoice Rough-In Valve. The trim will work with an existing MultiChoice valve or a 1300 Series valve using the original cartridge (or a new RP19804). https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP19804 Best regards, Jon

Need Rough-In information on Spout Stub

Team: I purchased the Delta Porter (144-984-OB) and can not find the information on the dimensions to install the bathtub spout anywhere in the documentation that came with the kit. So, I was wondering if you could provide a schematic that shows the dimensions fo the the spout stub so I can complete my project. Thanks, Dave

what is the difference between the -OB and the -OBA

Asked by: genius
Hi Genius, Thank you for your question. The only difference between the 144984-OB and the 144984-OB-A is in the packaging. The faucet components are the same. Thanks, Dave
