Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible faucet This was installed a week ago, the faucet continued to drip constantly. Then suddenly began spouting enormous amounts of water. It was taken apart and found that the seat blew out. Put it back together, leak continued and within two days the seat blew out again. I don't even know how this is possible. The faucet is brand new and is unusable

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Fourth delta I have three shower valves that all are the delta porter brushed nickle. They are a nice product. Just got a fourth, this one is the bronze porter. It is not installed yet. Water spots I have noticed though on the brushed nickle. I have a water softner and wipe all water after each use. I saw another person mention this to issue too.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Not the best Don't remember when we installed this - sometime in the last 5-6 years. The spout started leaking early this year when the diverter is pulled up for the shower. It has got progressively worse and now we have as much water leaking from the spout as going up to the shower. My other bathroom has had a Moen for over 15 years and works fine.

I am remodeling my bathroom and the trim sleeve that came with the unit it 2.75 inches long and I am looking for a sleeve that is 3.5 inches long. The finish needs to be brushed nickel. Is there a sleeve?

Asked by: Michael
Thank you for your question. We do offer a longer trim sleeve in Stainless Steel as part number RP22735SS which is 3.5" in length and will work with 1400 series showers made prior to 2006. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP22735 Best regards, Edward

How can I adjust the water temperature. The maximum handle position produces luke warm water.

Asked by: Guest BR
Hi, Guest BR! Thank you for your question. The valve cartridge assembly in the Delta Monitor 144984 tub and shower trim does have a rotational limit stop that can be adjusted so that your water can become hotter. You will want to remove the set screw from the handle with a 1/8" allen wrench. Once the handle is removed you will be able to see the rotational limit stop on the front of the cartridge. To adjust the rotational limit stop: 1. Pull out the inner, off-white circle. It maybe quite stiff. 2. When pulled out far enough, the circle will turn. Left (counterclockwise=hotter, right (clockwise)=colder. 3.Release the circle once it's at the desired temperature. 4. Test the temperature, adjust the rotational limit stop as needed. Just installed a delta shower control valve on a new shower; we did not see a place to adjust got water temp. Now after everything is finished and our first shower, only like warm water. Did I miss understanding it? Is there an adjustment?

Asked by: Ronlc
Thank you for your inquiry, Ronlc! If you are not getting hot enough water from your 13/14 Series shower unit, then you would need to adjust the rotational limit stop found on the top of your RP46074 cartridge. Please view the "How To Video" for adjusting your limit stop, in the below link. https://www.deltafaucet.com/cms/render/live/en/sites/delta/home/video-gallery/video-page.html?videoId=n2_uZ7wgV1I Best regards, Tanya

what about the tub drain? do you have one that matches

Asked by: carl
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144984-OB has a couple of bath waste assemblies that are similar in color but not exactly the same color. There is Delta Faucet model # RP691RB which is a trip lever. There is also Delta Faucet model # RP693RB which is a toe operated drain. This finish is a Venetian Bronze and it will compliment the Oil Rubbed Bronze but it is not exactly the same.

General Install ??

Hello, Is this model setup for new construction install or can it be used to replace an existing Delta fixture. The instructions seem point as a new install only?? Thanks
Asked by: Zen
Hi Zen, Thank you for your question! The 144984-BN does include the valve body for new construction installation. However, the trim can fit an existing 1300/1400 series ( old 1300/1400 cartridge has to be used with new trim). Best regards, Brandis

I bought this set up for a shower remodel along with a handheld showerhead and ADA bar, but need the diverter trim in brushed nickel to match the set. Does Delta make a trim kit that is brushed nickel?

Asked by: Lucas
Hi, Lucas! Thank you for your question. The Delta Monitor 144984-BN tub and shower trim kit doe not have a matching diverter trim. We do have diverter kits available in Stainless Steel finish that will be similar in color finish. One that will match style and design would be our Delta T11800-SS diverter trim. Asked by: STEVEO5878
Hello SteveO5878, Thank you for your question. The Delta Porter Tub and Shower 144984-OB model has one constant volume and the handle rotates to control the temperature. There is also a rotational limit stop on the cartridge that can be adjusted for hotter or colder temperature. You may want to check and flush the faucet of any debris or particles. When I turn my water off the water contines to run. Ive replaced the springs and seats. However the tubes with the o-rings (rp14414) remained in the mount. Is the unit broken or can I pull it out?

Asked by: Jacks
Hi, Jacks! Thank you for your question. There are two parts to the valve cartridge assembly, the top and bottom. If the bottom part of the cartridge is still in the valve body, please remove by taking two flat head screw drivers or butter knives and putting them into each side of the cartridge, between the inside of the valve, and work the cartridge out. Once the bottom of the cartridge is out, connect the two parts of the cartridge together. To reinstall this back into the valve, push the cartridge straight in. Do not twist the cartridge or the cartridge will separate again. If you should need anymore assistance, please contact us back. Best Regards, Rosanna

What code do I have to use to get the B3 (coppersweat installation) version when ordering the Porter Monitor 14 Series Tub and Shower?

Asked by: Walter
Hi Walter, Thank you for your question. Your tub spout pipe has an adapter that will work with a tub spout that uses either the RP12307 (1/2" sweat or 1/2" IPS threaded connection) or RP33794 (1/2" slip-on) adapter. The RP42915 uses the RP12307 adapter and is similar in style. This comes in the similar Stainless Steel or Venetian Bronze finish, but not Brushed Nickel or Oil Rubbed Bronze. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/RP42915 Best regards, Jon

Which R10000 rough-in valve was included in this kit?

I see the rough-in valve that comes with this unit is MultiChoice R10000. Is it R10000-UNBX, -UNBXHF, -UNWS, MFWS, etc.? What are the differences between these? Thank you!
Asked by: Jill
Hi Jill, Thank you for your question. The model 144984-BN comes with the R10000-UNBX tub and shower rough. The R10000-UNBXHF is the High Flow rough for showers only, UNWS comes With Stops so that the water to the faucet can be shut off at the valve, MFWS is for the cold expansion pex tubing with stops. The choices of the R10000's comes down to tub/shower vs shower only(HF), with (WS) or with out integral stops, and what type of material/pipe connection (IP, PX, MF) that you are using. Thanks, Dave

Cleaning unit and rubber shower head

Can you please tell me what I should use to clean the brushed nickel unit and the rubber shower head? Thanks!
Asked by: Alexx8
Hi Alexx8, Thank you for your question! Here is our cleaning and care information: Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward. If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use. Avoid using the following which can damage your finish: Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents. Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes Avoid bleach-based cleaners Best regards, Brandis

I have a delta fixture that says "Monitor" onthe bottom of the ring.It was installed in 1994.Will the 144984ob that I purchased hook up to it

Will I be able to mount this unit into the existing body
Asked by: Gene
Hi Gene, Thank you for your question. In 1994 we had several different series of faucets that would have "Monitor" on the escutcheon. If your faucet has a single control that only controls the temperature, not the volume of the water and turns counter-clockwise to turn on and clockwise to turn off you can use the model 144984-OB trim with your existing rough in valve. The new faucet will come with a new cartridge. The new cartridge will not fit your existing rough in valve. You will have to continue to use your existing cartridge or order a new RP19804. If your current faucet offers a single handle that controls water volume, and a smaller knob at the end of the handle that controls water temperature you will have to replace the rough in valve to be able to use the 144984-OB. Thanks, Dave

I just purchased and installed the Celice 3 piece shower/bath component. Though I love the look I am very disapointed that I cannot control the volum

Apparently I have very good water pressure and the pressure is much too high. I run out of hot water before I ever finish my shower. Is there a replacement that goes with this set that I can change out to control the volume of water coming out of the shower head and spout? the middle piece that controls the on and off I guess is what I would need. I know I can chnage the shower head but that doesn't sole the issue when I run bathwater.
Asked by: DC
Thank you for your question. The Celice series is only available for tub/shower combination in the 1400 series. The 1400 series only has temperature control on the handle. If you would like to control the volume too, you will need to switch out your trim for a 1700 series model in another style.

Waste assembly for 144984-BN

The closest finish I can find for a waste assembly to match the part number for the tub and shower is polished nickel (RP691PN) or pearl nickel (RP691NN). What is the part number for the brushed nickel finish for any type of tub waste assembly?
Asked by: jimbo
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144984-BN does not have a bath waste assembly available in that particular finish. We would recommend Delta Faucet model # RP691SS as a trip lever or RP693SS as a toe operated drain that will most closely match your finish.

Asked by: Al
Hi Al, Thank you for your question. We recommend that the model 144984-BN be attached to a stringer behind the wall to hold the fixture in place. The trim sleeve is approximately 2-3/8" wide. The hole can be the size of the plaster guard which is 4" x 4". Thanks, Dave

Asked by: paul
Thank you for your question. Based on the picture, your faucet looks like the 1300 series. The way to tell this is if you turn your faucet to the right or left to turn it on. If you have to push up and then turn it to the right or left, you have a 600 series valve. We do make a renovation kit for the 600 series with model # RP54870SS. If you determine that you have a 1300 series faucet, then you can replace it with any trim but use the cartridge that you already have in the wall.
