Rated 4 out of 5 by from love these faucets great shower set but little complicated to install

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Simple and self explanatory for visitors to use. I now have four of these Faucets in my home. Not suggested in any literature associated with them is the ability to mount them in a position where they can be reached whilst laying in the bath to top up with hot water! In a second larger soaker tub I have mounted the faucet in a horizontal plane to again provide access without struggling to where the spout is traditionally mounted. I would like to see an improvement in water flow with a 3/4" model, but I have plumbed in 3/4" pipework and this appears to work well.

I want to install the N1748-74 as a shower control only. Is this as simple as putting a plug in the outlet that would feed the tub spout?

Asked by: JOHN
Hello John, Thank you for question. Yes, you would just cap off the bottom port/outlet of the rough-in valve that comes with the Delta Classic Tub and Shower 1748-74 model for a shower only install. Best regards, Tanya

HOW DO YOU REMOVE THE POINTER CAP FORM THE HANDLE ASSEMBLY?

I NEED TO REPLACE SPRINGS AND SEATS AND I DON'T WANT TO BREAK THE CAP.
Asked by: JOHN
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 1748-74 has a temperature handle that can be removed by squeezing the sides together slightly and then pulling the cap off at the top of the triangle.

Where is the diverter on tub spout RP5833

I need to replace the tub and shower trim but the diverter is not on the tub spout, it's under the control handle.
Asked by: Judith
Hi Judith, Thank you for your question. The RP5833 is a non diverter tub spout, there is no diverter on the spout. You have a push button diverter on your existing faucet. You can order a RP2865 plug for your existing diverter and then get a new trim with a tub spout diverter. This will give you more finish options to choose from. Thanks, Dave

For the series 1700 shower faucet, how do you turn on the shower?

I just moved into a coop, and can't figure out how to switch on the shower. I have the Delta 1700 series faucet.
Asked by: mellie1960
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 1748-74 has the diverter to the shower on the tub spout. To operate it, just pull down on the end of the spout. It will divert the water to showerhead.

How do I operate the tub drain?

This faucet was installed as a tub faucet without a shower head.
Asked by: Dale
Hi Dale, Thank you for your question. The model 1748-74 includes only the faucet. The tub drain would have been purchased as a separate item. I am unable to tell you how to operate the drain. Thanks, Dave

I'm having a hard time removing the bonnet ring, any suggestions ?

Asked by: Dave
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 1748-74 may have mineral deposits that are keeping the bonnet ring on tight. We recommend soaking a towel in a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and cold water. Wrap the towel around the bonnet nut and let it soak overnight. You may also use a channel strap to remove it.
