How to get panel off delta monitor 1800

Asked by: Schooler
Hi Schooler, Thank you for your question. The escutcheon plate of the Delta Shower 1824-74 faucet can be removed once the handles and jets trims are removed. Best regards, Tanya

Can the diverter be capped off?  Ours has always leaked a bit and we never use that feature.

Asked by: Juls
Hi, Juls! Thank you for your question. You can cap the left and right ports on the diverter valve and only use the one top port for the shower head. Best Regards, Rosanna

Is there an updated version of this system???

I would like a newer version of this shower with jet sprays. thank you
Asked by: Greg
Hi Greg, Thank you for your question. We no longer manufacture the Delta Monitor 18 Series but the jets and main valve can be purchased separately and installed together. Best Regards, Courtney

Body Spray Jet Covers

My Monitor 1800 Series is working well, but we've managed to lose the housing/covers for the body spray jets. How would I get replacements for those? Thank you!
Asked by: Dan R
Hi Dan, Thank you for your question. The part number for the body spray trim rings are RP37897. These are available through our online parts store. Best regards, Jon

1800 series, "Victorian" style Shower Head Leaks

Shower head profusely leaks just behind rotating ring. It leaks enough that it effects the spray. Its about 10 yrs old. Can these be repaired with a new gasket/part or is a replacement needed ?
Asked by: Ron
Hi Ron, Thank you for your question! The RP40594 shower head would need to be replaced if it is leaking from behind the mode selector. There is no repair kit to fix a leak from that area. Best regards, Brandis

How to adjust the scald guard on this same model?

My shower does not get hot, but my tub right next to this shower will cook you. Has to be a setting in the valve to allow for more hot water. Thank you, Ryan

My monitor 1800 Jetted shower adjustable spray jets won't turn off completely when you turn the hand nobs.

Also it squeals when its turned to the off position
Asked by: Kathy
Hi Kathy, Thank you for your question. It sounds like the diverter stem assembly RP25513 and the RP4993 seat and spring need to be replaced. These items are located behind the small diverter handle located between the body sprays. Thanks, Dave

Delta Monitor 1800 Series Jetted Shower is leaking, how do I repair it

My Monitor 1800 series jetted shower has a slow leak and I am wondering if it is just a simple washer replacement or something else to stop it from leaking, it is about 10 years old now.
Asked by: WalterD
Hi Walter, Thank you for your question. Replacing the RP32104 cartridge should stop the leak in your 1800 series faucet. After shutting off the water supply you would need to remove the handle assembly, trim sleeve, and bonnet nut to access the cartridge. Thanks, Dave
