Installation Information

Rated 2 out of 5 by from This product was not worth the money I paid. I first got a steel tub for $129.00. But when I got it home it would not fit in the spot I had. Different company. So I took it back and got your tub, only one they had that would fit. I took it home and opened the box I could see that it was very flimsy. But it was the only one that they had, so I installed it, after I had it in and was starting to install the flooring that I noticed that the front part of the tub had a severe bow inward. In about an Inch or more. I am not the least happy with your product. It cost me $140.00 more and is not worth it. Really disappointed.

What are the subfloor requirements for my Styla tub?

The tub installation instructions don't say anything about the subfloor requirements, or setting the tub in mud. I'm getting feedback from professionals that I shouldn't just set the tub on my existing subfloor (even though it is sound). I've been told that the only tubs that don't set in mud are those with foam attached. I see this tub has wooden slats that it sits on. What do you recommend I do? I'm thinking about adding a layer of cement board...

Hi Ed, Thank you for your question about the Styla Acrylic with Innovex Technology Bathtub. We recommend installing this unit on a Plywood or cement subfloor. Thanks, JessW
