What is the primary difference between the discontinued model and model 3538LF? Is it the way the water comes in contact with the metal or something else? I have the old model 3538 and need to replace the main neck body due to discoloration of the finish that I caused. From the installation guides I can see that either model would work as a replacement but I wanted to know what was "upgraded" from the 3538 model and should I replace the other 3538 models I have. Thanks.
Hi Harlan, Thank you for your question. To comply with current standards the 3538LF uses low lead brass. Unfortunately the main neck body is not available as a separate replacement part. The faucet will need to be replaced.
Thanks,
Dave
