Rated 1 out of 5 by from Spots from day 1 These faucets in the brushed stainless were installed in our bathroom renovation 1 week ago. They have spots on them from day 1. It is unrealistic to expect to have to wipe down the faucet every time you use it. Obviously water will get on the faucet, as after you wash your hands you will touch the faucet with your wet hands. And we have a whole house water filtration and softener system, so I know that can’t be the issue. I have a brushed nickel faucet in my kitchen for 10 years that has never had water spots on it!!! What a huge mistake this has been!! Can a stainless steel cleaner be used that will prevent spots? Like Perfect Stainless?

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic Look I've owned this faucet for 5 yrs. and it's just as beautiful as it was when new. The finish holds up really well. Did have an issue after 5 yrs. with the cold water valve developing a slow leak. Delta sent me a replacement stem cartridge under their lifetime warranty. Very easy to install by removing the handle and installing the new valve cartridge. Don't even have to do anything under the sink, except shut off the water supply! Very handy design.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Dryden in Spotless, a huge disappointment At the suggestion of our contractor, who just swears by Delta, we chose the Dryden line of fixtures by Delta for sinks and shower, top of the line. What a disappointment. The finish shows every water spot so not "spotless" at all, the big draw. And, the fixtures' finish has a dull look, not pretty at all. We prefer Satin Nickel but it is not available. And the sink stopper will not stay tight to the sink no matter what so does not hold water. This is a very expensive mistake.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from great looks but parts missing (pivot nut washer) The last piece to a bathroom remodel was the Delta Faucet. The design looks great and I think it will last a long time but the drain kit was missing a pivot nut washer and the sink stopper can't be operated because the Horizontal rod is too short to operate the Lift Rod. Last, Delta should write better installation instruction for the do-it-yourself installer.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from connector piece too short Love these faucet handles. Be aware that if you have granite that is 3cm. the connector piece under the spout is not long enough. You must order another connector kit that is longer, to connect the plumbing to the faucet.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don’t last We put the Drayden faucets in all of our bathrooms when we built 8 years ago and have had to replace three out of the five we put in because the handles start to leak water. I think these faucets should last longer than that given how expensive they are.

Is there an alternative to using the PexC supply lines

Not sure if this is the exact model since purchased at a big box store, however looks the same. This was installed yesterday into a custom, heavy OPEN metal vanity with Quartz Countertop. The supply lines hang down in sight all over the place (like looking at the back of my computer - Ugh. They are at least 3 times longer than they need to be. Can the supply lines be replaced with something a little more attractive (in like a chrome finish)?
Asked by: Don
Hi Don, Thank you for your question. We recommend to loop the supply lines in most installations. However, you may shorten the lines with a Custom Fit installation. Please refer to the installation manual for help with this. You can also use our decorative supply line covers, part number RP72130. https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP72130 Best regards, Jon

How do you tighten hot water handle on Dryden 3551

Asked by: Arthur
Thank you for you question, Arthur! The set screw that holds the handle to the stem unit can be located underneath the button cover just under the handle lever. This will require a 3/32" Allen wrench. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/86409%20Rev%20E.pdf Best regards, Edward

I am installing my 3551lf faucet for the second time (it was in a prior sink). I am not able to get any of the three hose connections to clip onto the copper pipe nylon clip. It could be that I damaged all 3 during my removal. Thoughts?

Asked by: George
Thank you for your question, George! To connect the hose assembly, align tabs with the tabs on the quick connects. Push the quick connects firmly upward and snap onto the receiving tube tab. Pull down moderately to ensure each connection has been made. To remove the hose, you will need to press in on the tabs on both sides of the connection, then press up slightly and pull down firmly. If the tabs on these connections have been damaged, you will need to purchase a new hose. This model will have two types of connections depending on the faucet code found on the back of your spout. https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-L-3551LF%20Rev%20B.pdf Best regards, Edward

We have a model 3553LF. The hot water flow is getting weaker. How can I correct this? Thanks

Asked by: slide
Thank you for your question, slide! There may be debris or mineral buildup that is hindering the water flow. We would recommend shutting the water off below the counter and removing the handle and stem unit on the hot side. From here you can put a large bucket over the open valve and turn the water back on to flush out any further debris. It is a good idea to do this on both the hot and cold side. Best regards, Edward

Is it safe to use furniture polish or another wax on the stainless finish to help prevent water spots?

We were steered wrong by our designer who told us the spotshield stainless fixtures would not match the stainless towel bars and we should get everything in the same finish. She was wrong and now we are stuck with ugly water spots. Thank you for any advice.
Asked by: Pat
Hi, Pat! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing water spots on your faucet. We do not recommend furniture polish or wax to be used on the Delta faucets. Here are cleaning and care information for your faucet: Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward. If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: Formula 409® Antibacterial All Purpose Cleaner, Fantastik® All Purpose Cleaner, or Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use. Avoid using the following which can damage your finish: Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub, Soft Scrub, and Tile Cleaner. Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents. Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes Avoid bleach-based cleaners Best Regards, Rosanna

Is there a matching tub faucet avaible without a drain pull

Asked by: richard
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet tub and shower models are not sold with the bath waste assembly. Those are purchased separately. We do not offer the Dryden series as a tub only model but you can purchase a valve only with the T14051-CZ trim along with the R10000-UNBX rough-in valve and then find a tub spout that you like to match it.

Love the Dryden faucet. My contractor wants me to pay more and buy at plumbing supply house versus at a discount retailer. He says quality is inferior when you see what you believe to be same faucet for much less.  Valve or pop up different is this true.

Asked by: Kim k
Hi, kim k! Thank you for your question. We appreciate your interest in Delta faucets. All Delta faucets feature the same quality parts, materials, and workmanship, no matter what kind of dealer sells them. Delta retail dealers usually sell faucets that include the handles in the boxes. Plumbing professionals and Delta Studio Showrooms sell faucets where the faucets and handles are packaged and sold separately ("LHP" models), giving the customer some additional styling choices. However, the quality of all Delta faucets is the same. Best Regards, Rosanna
