Rated 3 out of 5 by from Looks good but not user friendly Installed this when we remodeled our bathroom couple of years ago. It is a great looking faucet but from a functional perspective it doesn’t work well.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Delta Vero 3553 I am an Interior Designer and this product is stunning! However, due to the design of the sink used (a Kohler product), the water splashes everywhere. I would advise future consumers to buy a deep sink bowl without a gradual incline. If Delta would adjust the angle on the faucet, ever so slightly, this would not happen.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from splashes everywhere too much money for this product Splash water every where on counter. looks good works bad

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful, but the finish doesn't last I love the color and style of this faucet! We bought the whole line for our tub/shower, sink, and even toilet handle. We have it in our guest bathroom, which doesn't get a ton of use...sadly the finish on the faucet is fading, which takes away from the original luxe look. I would recommend, but maybe not in champagne bronze. :(

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Beautiful Design The design and finish are beautiful. Have gotten comments from visitors. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is the way the water flows out of the faucet. The way the water hits your hands, it tends to splash onto the surrounding counter top.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Set screw in handle problem The 3553LF is a beautiful tub faucet assembly but the handles keep pulling off no matter how tight the set screw is set! Maybe a part is missing? There is a screw hole in the top of the stem; is it there for a reason ? The builder didn’t leave me the installation instructions, so I don’t know if something is missing.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE this faucet We got this in the champagne bronze (wide set) to replace an old faucet. We're very happy with it, and haven't had the splashing issues that other reviewers have had (perhaps because my water flow doesn't fall on the drain).

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Look great but functional issues We installed a set into both of our bathroom sinks. Both sink push-pop plugs have always been poor at holding in sink water. We now have to leave some water running to retain water level Also, 2 of the 4 handles go past the “off” position and go behind where they are supposed to go. The stop doesn’t work

How can I adjust the handles so they stop when turning them

When I add the bonnet under the handle the handles do not catch on the stops so the handle goes all the way around. Is there a way to adjust the valve up or should I not use the plastic bonnet on top of the valve cover?
Asked by: Dmoench
Hi Dmoench, Thank you for your question. Please refer to diagram B in section 1 of the instructions. Please make sure that the top glide ring (5) is installed with the flat side face up. Please also be sure to press the handle (6) down until it is flush with the handle base (7). Please also make sure that the top retainer (8) is threaded all the way down onto the valve. You may need to loosen the mounting nut to thread the retainer. How do you remove the filter from the spigot.   We have a new construction and when we turned the faucet on for the first time it was blocked with debris.   No tool was provided to remove it.

Asked by: Everett
Hi Everett, Thank you for your question. Based on the "Maintenance" section of the below Maintenance/Installation document link, page 4. It states that you can pull out the stream straightener out of the end of the spout, with a long nose plier. This tool would not come in the box with the faucet. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/86410%20Rev%20C.pdf Best regards, Tanya

Distance from spout to deck

The spec sheet on the 3553LF shows a distance of 2 5/8" from end of spout to counter/deck. Is that correct? Screen shot attached.
Asked by: JM
Dear JM, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, the 2 5/8" is the correct distance from the end of the spout to the counter-top/sink, for the Delta Vero Lavatory 3553LF faucet. Best regards, Tanya

In 2012, was the GPM 1.2 which they are currently 1.5 this year?

The water flow is very restricted. I see the product has a 1.5 GPM. In 2012 was the GPM 1.2?
Asked by: Dee
Dear Dee, Thank you for your question. The Delta Vero Lavatory 3553LF faucet had a flow rate of 1.5 gpm at 60 PSI in 2012. To comply with all states current plumbing codes and restrictions the flow rate of this Vero faucet converted to 1.2 gpm at 60PSI, starting July 1, 2016. Best regards, Tanya

Can I use this on my tub?

Asked by: Jays
Hi Jays, Thank you for your question! The 3553LF-CZ lavatory faucet only releases 1.2gpm ( gallons per minute) which would not be enough water to fill a tub in good timing. Best regards, Brandis

The holes were made too big in the countertop for the handles. Is there anything we can do? The faucet fits fine. Thanks

Asked by: Foxden
Hi, Foxden! Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your Delta faucet. The hole size for each hole should be 1 5/16"~1 1/2" (33~38 mm). Here is a link to the technical specifications for this unit: https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-L-3553LF%20Rev%20E.pdf Unfortunately, there is not a repair part to fix the hole being larger than the required hole size. I do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Best Regards, Rosanna

Does the stream straightener increase, decrease or not effect the water flow? We are trying to increase ours. Thanks.

Asked by: whitten5
Hi, Whitten5! Thank you for your question. The Delta 3553LF faucet aerator does not increase or decrease the water flow. The aerator aerates the water to flow in a smooth ribbon. Best Regards, Rosanna

Delta lavatory faucet model number 3553LF-SS, will this faucet work for 3 cm granite

If not can it be retro fitted for 3cm use.
Asked by: dapdaddy
I purchased this product not realizing the specs stated it was ok for up to 29mm (just under 3cm for standard granite thickness). The faucet was installed in a granite vanity and after getting the handles pushed down all the way, it is working fine. I am not sure why Delta states it won't work.

Is it possible to order replacement bases (installation diagram 1B, part #7) for this faucet? I do not see a part number for them in the parts diagram.

Asked by: greg5200
Hello Greg5200, Thank you for your question. The handle and spout bases of the Delta Vero Lavatory 3553LF faucet are not sold as separate parts. However, the handle bases are included with the handle kits RP63349 (hot) and RP63350 (cold). https://media.deltafaucet.com/PartsDiagram/DPD-L-3553LF_A.pdf Best regards, Tanya

Can I hook up an aerator for this?

I own two of these faucets - we like them but since they don't have aerators water splashes all over the bathroom countertop. Is there an aerator I can buy for these or anything else I can do to stop the splashing form happening?
Asked by: frandrupl
Hi frandrupl, We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your faucet. Unfortunately the design of the spout on the model 3553LF does not allow for an aerator or aerated stream. Lowering the water flow is the only way to reduce the splashing. Thanks, Dave

I only have 1.5 inch to the backspkash. Is that going to be ok?

Asked by: Phil W
Thank you for your inquiry, Phil W! We recommend a minimum of 2 1/2" (64mm) to the back splash, for the installation of the Delta Olmsted Lavatory 3553LF faucet. Cleaning the faucet may be difficult, if the faucet is installed at a lesser distance to the back splash. Best regards, Tanya
