What is the difference between the Leland Two Handle widespread faucet and the same with the pop-up?
The product specs describe the drain as a 50/50 popup v. a metal popup. What is the difference?
Hi MK, Thank you for your question. The Leland model 3578LFSS-278SS uses our stem assemblies, seats and springs in the valve assemblies to control the water. The model 3578-SSMPU-DST uses our newer diamond seal technology cartridges and innovex waterways to deliver the water to the faucet. The faucets will look alike from the top of the sink, different below. The metal pop up is metal the 50/50 pop up has a plastic tail piece combined with the metal drain assembly.

what tool should I use to remove the aerator on this product?
Hi Anonymous, Thank you for your question. You should not need any special tool to remove the aerator on the model 3578LF-278 faucet. The aerator will unscrew counter-clockwise. Sometimes mineral build up can make removal harder. We recommend soaking a towel in a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water and wrapping the towel around the aerator. After allowing the solution to soak in, the aerator should be easier to remove. A strap wrench or rubber jar lid opener may give you a better grip.

Installed this faucet on Kohler Archer Pedestal sink. Horizontal rod provided is not long enough to engage pop up pull rod.
Installed this faucet on Kohler Archer Pedestal sink. Horizontal rod provided is not long enough to engage pop up pull rod, when installed on this sink. Long enough horizontal rod IS NOT AVAILABLE. I did special order the longest rod we could find and it is still 3/4" too short. Also, Faucet supply hose impedes smooth operation of pop up rod. You need to re-think this design and provide a technical warning that this faucet may have problems with other popular plumbing fixtures. Also there is no explanation anywhere I can find, of how to remove click on, supply hoses. Instruction in assembly but not dis-assembly.
We are sorry that you are experiencing a problem with your faucet. The RP12517 horizontal rod that comes with your model 3578LF-278 faucet measures the standard 6-1/8" long. We offer the RP33805 horizontal rod which is longest we offer at 10-1/8". It appears from the specs on the Archer sink that this should potentially reach. I have attached a picture of the specs below. Another option would be to go with the model 33W576 push pop-up drain assembly that doesn't require the likage underneath the sink. To remove the quick connect lines push in to open the connector, push up, then pull down.
