Hello DSL24,
Thank you for your question on the Delta 3-Way Shower Arm Diverter and I am happy to help you today.
Once you have uninstalled your shower head, to remove the currently installed shower arm diverter, you may need an adjustable wrench and a cloth to wrap around the nut of the diverter to protect the finish. Once you have wrapped the cloth around the nut, you may loosen the nut by turning the adjustable wrench in a counter-clockwise motion. When the nut is loosened, you will be able to remove the diverter by turning the nut by hand.
I hope this information is helpful to you. If we can assist you further with uninstalling the diverter, please feel free to give us a call on our warranty line at 800-345-3358 and we will be happy to assist you further where we can.
Have a great day,
