Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks I bought this faucet in February 2018 for a bathroom remodel. It was installed in March 2018 and it started to leak into the sink in July 2018. I returned it to the store and they gave me another one. I installed that one and it too started to leak in November 2018. I am on city water, so that should not be a issue. I am going to buy a replacement, but not with a Delta. What a waste of money

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Unexpected problem slight leak on drain tail piece below pivot rod opening (NOT leaking from rod opening). It is a solid metal drain tail piece so don't know where water comes from. used putty around area and so far so good.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from good faucet I purchased 3 Delta 538-MPU for my bathrooms. 2 of them worked flawlessly but the the third one is very difficult to lift the handle for the stopper.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Finish did not hold up to hard water This faucet came with new house and within a few months the finish started breaking down at the seams on the side.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Sleek and attractive Just had this professionally installed last week; two more being installed in master bathroom soon. It looks sleek, is attractive, and works great. The one thing that doesn't really gel with me is that in the off position, the handle is asymmetrically deviated to the user's right. The plumbers tried to adjust it and reduced the crooked appearance quite a bit, but it still doesn't have a perfectly symmetric appearance like it should. My other two look perfectly symmetric in the box. It doesn't leak and works fine, but I wish it didn't have the subtle off-kilter look.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Poor drain assembly The drain assembly is set so low that it blocks water from draining when it is supposedly open. I will need to have a plumber come back to try to reset it.

Plug for Pop up Lift Rod hole?

Is there a plug available for the pop up lift rod hole in the back of the faucet?
Asked by: Chris C
HI Chris C, Thank you for your question! You can try the RP72289 lift rod plug. Please be aware this item does not fit all of our faucets. Best regards, Brandis

I ordered a facuet set in the champagne gold. It appears that it is going to fingerprint easily. Have you had any complaints?

Asked by: Gloria
Thank you for your question, Gloria! Our Champagne Bronze is a Brilliance finish and is designed not to corrode, tarnish or discolor for a “like-new” look for life. While this does not prevent fingerprints from getting on the surface, these can be easily cleaned by wiping the finish with a damp cloth. If additional cleaning is needed, we recommend using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water. Best regards, Jon

Delta 538 SSMPU-DST The facet is loose. It moves to the left and right. I'd say 1/2 inch each way. Looking from underneath there is no way I can see to tighten it. HELP!

Asked by: patrick
Hi, Patrick! Thank you for your question. There is a adjustable wrench that is available for the Delta 538 SSMPU-DST faucet. This part is RP47030 and can help to tighten the faucet under the sink. Here is a link to the instruction manual for this faucet to show directions on how to tighten: https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/X00060119_F.pdf Best Regards, Rosanna

this faucet on the picture looks like the spout is two pieces

Along the length of the spout. Is that the case? I am looking at the item in chrome

Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model #538-MPU-DST is one piece except it does have an optional 6-1/2 inch that can be added.

What is model # for the 6 1/2" add on?

A previous user asked if this was one piece or two and Delta answered saying one piece but that there was an additional 6 1/2" piece that could be attached to it. Is this to make the faucet a high riser for use with a vessel sink? If so, I am interested in this piece but could not find it anywhere. Can you please advise?
Asked by: sstchur
Hi Sstchur, Thank you for your question. The 6-1/2" add on is part of the faucet body and not available as a separate piece. The Lahara series does not offer a vessel bowl version of the model 538-SSMPU-DST. Thanks, Dave
