Rated 2 out of 5 by from Beautiful but problematicdesign This faucet is beautiful. Because the lever for the drain stopper, however, is in the back, it's difficult to reach and operates very stiffly. Furthermore, and most importantly, we wish we had realized that the positioning of that lever would not give the standard clearance to allow for the granite back splash. As a result, we now have to decide whether to change out the faucet for a 3-hole or just live without a back splash and be careful about not getting water on the wall.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Oil Rubbed Finish on the Market! As a contractor, we install A LOT, and I mean, a ton of faucets, especially oil rubbed. Delta has by far, the best true oil rubbed finish on the market. After having some finish issues with Pfister, we try and sell Delta only--not only for finish, but also for ease of use and installation. Very happy with purchase

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful! I bought this for a dressy downstairs guest bath. We have mother of pearl backsplash and I wanted something dressy to jazz it up. I got this in the polished nickel and it's gorgeous!! My only issue is my husband who leaves prints all over it! Lol! Just ordered two more ( different finish) for our master. Great quality - heavy - jewelry for your bath!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful design, like a piece of expensive jewllery that is the star of the room. Love the design, most strong feeling faucet we have ever had. You can feel the quality.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from love the Delta "Dryden" collection bought the entire series for a guest bath. gutted the guest/children's bath down to the studs. It is beautiful in chrome. Looks high end, current without being trendy.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Overall a faucet that works well every time. I'd give it a 9. The square angles are a bit hard to clean thoroughly.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Pleased! We're very pleased with this faucet. It feels sturdy and solid, is responsive and the stopper holds perfectly. Love the look... not too large and not too small and the Brilliance Stainless is a handsome finish. The water flow is better than from our previous "off the rack" faucet -- a definite plus. I don't know if our contractor found it easy or difficult to install but we didn't hear any complaints and he said he loves Delta.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good Faucet with some issues! Delta is an excellent company. Tech Support is terrific and there is always someone 'live' to speak with when necessary. That said, the stopper seemed a bit flimsy and the pull is easy can bend easily. Finally, if you have hard water, you may want to consider other choices as the finish stains easily. Water flow was good, and the control worked well.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The champagne bronze color is beautiful I bought this faucet in champagne bronze and had it installed today along with a new sink and vanity countertop. It has a brushed finish and the color is warm. A plumber installed it in about 15 minutes with no problems. He said you can't go wrong with Delta and the faucet is very well-made. I tried to post a picture with this review but the site kept erring out and wouldn't accept the photo.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from The Pop Up drain does not close tightly, thus leaks! We bought both this tap and it's similar touch model for 2 bathroom renovations in the colour oil rubbed bronze. The touch model works great and has a pop up drain that is different than this model and it seals great! This model's pop up drain does not seal properly and it leaks water slowly through it. Both of these taps were installed by a plumber and he said that this one has a poor design! To note, we had the same 2 Kohler Archer under mount sinks installed in both bathrooms, thus this is not a sink issue, but rather this tap's poor design on the pop up drain! We love the design of this tap, but with this current pop up drain problem, we are not happy with the leaky pop up drain! This is unfortunate since we spent time researching and spent a lot of money on these taps!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Stunning in Polished Nickel This is truly a gorgeous faucet (we purchased the entire bath fixture set). It's so elegant and nice and "heavy." The polished nickel is just beautiful - it is a warm/golden shiny finish. The only down part is that it will show fingerprints but that is what you are going to get with any polished finish. We have not installed this yet so I cannot speak to function although I trust that Delta products will work just fine.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Well Made Faucet This item was part of a complete update of my master bath. Very happy with the style and performance. Easy to keep clean. Another plus is the fact that it is metal - not plastic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic! I chose this faucet for my remodeled bathroom because I wanted only one hole in the countertop, I wanted a far enough "reach" into the sink bowl to keep excess water off of the counter top, and my swanstone top has a rectangular bowl shape and this square looks nice with it. I think one hole makes for easier cleanup. The faucet is very sturdy feeling and I am glad I chose it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful Faucet for small Pedestal Sink Small powder room remodel required small sink so I decided to go with a pedestal sink with single hole. Super modern would not look right with style/age of our home so I selected the Kohler Stately Memoirs small sink and matching elongated toilet. That was the easy part...finding a faucet seemed challenging until I saw the Dryden Single Hole! I went with chrome because I think it gives the room more of a transitional style. The only less than 5 stars feature is the drain plug handle: it is a little hard to pull up. However, since this is a powder room, the sink won't need to be filled often.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Classic, contemporary, and still cottagey I love the way they look; however, they have not yet been installed. We have had many rental condos, and discovered in a very short time that all Moen faucets must be replaced--with Delta--problem-free. When these are installed, I am sure the same will be true. No photos to post yet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Delta's newly designed valve works very smoothly. Nicely designed, works smoothly. Install easy. Pop up drain arm needs about two inches of space behind the faucet - be sure to allow for this. Quality product. Not a big fan of very long pex supply lines - Delta advises against cutting and shortening. That leaves big loops of supply line which then need to be tucked away neatly. But, not a big deal.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Very Nice Faucet Very stylish.. Faucet was heavy and appeared to be very well made. In the end, we installed a different faucet as this faucet, in person, appeared more masculine and industrial than we were looking for. It is a great looking faucet and, if I remodel our half bath, it will be the faucet I order.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from it's a faucet all metal faucet, looks good, works like it's supposed to. it came with everything in the box needed to hook it up. the stopper in the sink works great, it held water over night. the stopper feels loose when you use it but it uses the pressure of the water in the sink to close it tighter so you don't have to yank up hard on the lever to close it tight.

I would like to install the Dryden single lever faucet on a 3cm granite countertop.. Will this work?

And what is the minimum distance needed between the center of the single mounting hole and the backsplach needed for the pop-up drain lever to work with ease?
Asked by: Carol
Hi Carol, Thank you for your question. The model 551-SS-DST has a max deck thickness of 2-7/8". The faucet can mount to 3cm granite. The minimum recommended clearance to the backsplash is 2-1/2". Thanks, Dave

Can I attach rigid chrome supply lines to this faucet?

This facet will go on a pedestal sink. The pedestal does not sit flush to the wall which leaves the supply lines exposed. I want to attach rigid chrome supply lines to the faucet to make it look more pleasing than the existing flexible tubing
Asked by: Sybaris
Hi Sybaris, Thank you for your question. The supply lines may be shortened and connected to a rigid supply line. Please refer to the Custom Fit section of the Installation Instructions. http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/551-dst.html?document=mi&fromDetailArea=bath&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper However, we also have decorative covers available for the PEX supply lines. http://www.deltafaucet.com/repairparts/details/rp72130.html Best regards, Jon

How much space behind faucet is needed for the pull rod on the 551-dst?

Many of your faucets require 2.5 inches from the center of the sink mounting hole to the back splash panel. This is so the push rod that opens and closes the drain can operate properly. This item is silent on this issue. I have a sliding mirror and the frame extends out, leaving about 1.5 inches rather than the 2.5 inches. Can I use this faucet? If not can you recommend similar one handled items that would work?
Asked by: Marv
Thank you for your question. When using Delta Faucet model # 551-DST, your 1.5 inch distance to the backsplash will work with this faucet. You may have to adjust the strap to the pivot rod when installing the pop-up assembly.

How does the champagne bronze finish hold up with hard water?

Asked by: Annalisa
Thank you for your question, Annalisa! The Champagne Bronze finish is a Brilliance® finish designed to look like new for life. Delta's Brilliance® finishes are more durable than traditional clear coating as these finishes won't corrode, tarnish or discolor. These finishes are tested against more than 100 common household cleaners and will even withstand prolonged exposure to hard water or sea air. https://www.deltafaucet.com/design-innovation/innovations/kitchen/brilliance-finishes Best regards, Edward

How much space is required for this faucet between backspash and sink?

Ideally I would like to install this faucet with an undermount sink. Can you tell me how much total space this faucet requires between the backsplash and the rim of the sink? I have a narrow vanity and am trying to determine whether this faucet will fit.
