Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice looking - functionally a nightmare This faucet looks great, but there is no aeration to water flow. Water splashes all over the counter, and I mean all over. It can't expect guests to wipe down the entire counter washing their hands. I will be replacing this faucet immediately.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Looks GREAT but no thanks We remodeled all of our bathrooms and purchased four of these faucets. We are so disappointed about the splashing that we are going to have to replace them all. Such a great loss, great inconvenience and unfortunate use of our valuable time. We have many rental properties and have always been happy with our purchases of Delta faucets. Too bad the same didn't hold true in our own home.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Gorgeous faucet, beautiful water flow A few years back I had an issue with a (non-Delta) faucet splashing everywhere, and I had to switch it. But I just loved the look of this faucet, and very apprehensively I bought it for my bathroom remodel despite the comments about splashing. My contractor told me if the splashing was a problem he'd be able to sell it for me to another one of his customers. It's wonderful - the water flow comes down in a beautiful twisting ribbon, no splashing at all! And I have a smallish sink. I couldn't be happier.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I had this faucet installed by a professional plumber about 3 years ago. Never had a lot of cold pressure. Now it hardly trickles. Water lines have been taken off and has a lot of pressure. Save your money, don’t buy this Delta faucet.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ellegant and Functional Love these faucets in my bathroom. Based upon some of the reviews regarding "overspray", I went with the lower pressure model. Had some overspray on one of my faucets but noticed that if the waterfall hits the edge of the stopper assembly, it would scatter spray. Moved the faucet assembly forward a few millimeters and problem was solved!

can this faucet be used for a square 5.5" high vessel sink?

Asked by: Grit
Grit, Thank you for your question. The faucet could be installed with a 5.5" vessel sink. However, the spout will drop below the rim of the bowl at 5 1/4" above the deck surface. The vessel version of this faucet is model 753LF. The end of the spout on this model is 9 9/32" above the deck. Please refer to the Technical Specifications linked below. https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-L-553LF%20Rev%20E.pdf Best regards, Jon

Can a bathroom sink faucet be installed in a bidet?

I'm planning to buy the 553LF faucet for my sink but I'm have trouble finding a matching bidet faucet. Can this one be installed in a bidet?
Asked by: Kermitgi
Dear Kermitgi, Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Vero Lavatory 553LF has a flow rate of 1.20 GPM at 60 PSI, this would be to low of a flow rate and no proper connections for a bidet install. Best regards, Tanya

Use silicone when installing the drain?

The instructions with my Vero show in the diagram using silicone at the drain, but the instructions don't mention it. Is this necessary?
Asked by: AmandaM
Dear AmandaM, Thank you for your question. We do recommend applying a bead of silicone to the underside of flange of the drain assembly, for installation. This help creates a tight seal to the sink hole. Best regard, Tanya

What is the dimensions for the single hole faucet?

I need to know for my quartz countertop template. Thanks for your time !
Asked by: Angie
Hi Angie, Thank you for your question. The base of the model 553LF-SS faucet measures 1-7/8". The recommended hole size is from 1-5/16" to 1-1/2". Here is a link to the spec sheet for the model 553LF-SS that shows these and other important dimensions. http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/553lf-ss.html?document=ts&fromDetailArea=bath&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper Thanks, Dave

Splash---?

Now I am afraid!-My husband said we could just turn down the taps under the sink---? Hate the thought of paying plumber twice. Also I will hate having a mess. Can we just adjust water under cabinette? Also what pop up drain? I want a large mushroom push top that covers the drain hole completely with no company name stamped on it. I don't want the drain that comes with it.
Asked by: Margo
HI Margo, Thank you for your question. Turning down the water supplies under the counter will reduce the flow to the model 553LF faucet. You could also replace the 1.5 gallon per minute flow regulator in the faucet to one with a lower flow rate. We offer a 1.0 gpm RP73838 and a 0.5 gpm RP78837 flow regulator. The regulator is located under the valve cartridge in the faucet. Our model 72172 push pop-up less overflow, or the 72173 push pop-up with overflow is the style of drain assembly with the large mushroom push top with no brand information stamped on the cover. Thanks, Dave

Can I get the Vero with the handle on the other side?

Asked by: Maz
I have a difficult time understanding how a faucet that is manufactured as one solid piece, with the faucet handle mounted on the right side, can be installed with the faucet control on the left side. I've installed 5 of these faucets in 2 remodeled bathrooms and 1 remodeled powder room. You can mount the unit with the faucet control on the left, but the faucet itself would point 180 degrees from the sink.

Please provide more information about how the drain stopper works.

I do not see a pull up handle in the back. Is there one? If not, how does one stopper the sink drain?
Asked by: Barbara
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 553LF-SS has a push-pop assembly for the drain.
