Alternative shower arm

Hi, I love this shower head, and have purchased it again for a second bathroom. However, the shower is only 5 feet wide and water is hitting the back wall and spilling out onto the floor. I would like to find a shower arm that will angle the fixture downwards a bit so as to contain the H2O. Any ideas? Thanks!
Asked by: Finny
Dear Finny, Thank you for your inquiry! Unfortunately, we do not make a shower arm that would allow the Delta In2ition H2Okinetic 4-Setting 58470-SS to face more downwards. Moving or Tilting the showerhead to far down could cause the hand shower not to seat properly or a possible leaking issue. Best regards, Tanya

What cleaning products should I use on this product to get rid of calcium build up?

Asked by: Diana
Dear Diana, Thank you for your question. Here is the cleaning and care information from Maintenance/Installation paperwork: Always blot dry any water from faucet surface. Allowing water to evaporate on the surface can lead to build up of mineral deposits. Cleaning with a damp non-abrasive sponge and buffing it dry with a clean soft cloth should help keep your product looking beautiful. To remove water spots, use warm water and a soft, damp cloth. Hard water stains and calcium build up may be removed using a 50/50 solution of white vinegar and water.  Make certain that you rinse thoroughly with water afterward. Also take care to protect surfaces that may be damaged by vinegar. The white vinegar can stain porous stones like granite, limestone and marble.  If additional cleaning is required, all of our finishes may be cleaned with the following household cleaners: 409, Fantastic, or Windex, when used according to the manufacturers' instructions for use.  Avoid using the following which can damage your finish: Avoid industrial cleaners and abrasive cleaners, such as those used for toilet bowls, green Scotch-Brite heavy duty scrub sponges, Scrubbing Bubbles Bathroom Cleaner and Lysol Basin Tub and Tile Cleaner, Lime Away and Soft Scrub.   Avoid products that state on the label that they remove tarnish and rust, and those containing hydrofluoric, hydrochloric and/or phosphoric acids and caustic agents. Avoid harsh abrasives or polishes. Avoid bleach-based cleaners. Best regards, Tanya

Why is this product discontinued and what one would be its replaceme's

Asked by: Amp
Dear Amp, Thank you for your question. The Delta In2ition 58470-SS has been discontinued and replaced with the Delta In2ition model 58473-SS. The 58473-SS model has the newer government mandated flow rate of 2 gpms at 80PSI and same functions and design as the 58470-SS. Best regards, Tanya

Chrome finish vs stainless finish?

What is the difference between the chrome vs stainless finish, aside from cost? Is the stainless more durable? Does the stainless have more metal or it is also just a 'coating' over the plastic of the unit?
Asked by: DPasco
Hi DPasco, Thank you for your question! The material of the 54870-PK In2ition is the same regardless of the finish. The difference in Chrome Vs. Stainless steel is that Chrome is shiny Silver and Stainless is a dull Brushed Silver. Stainless Steel is comparable to Brushed Nickel. Best regards, Brandis

how to operate the hand held portion of the shower head

With the exception of a lever to one side of the stationary shower head I cannot determine how to engage the hand held option. This is a guest bath that I have not used myself. Thank you
Asked by: Gerie
Hi Gerie, Thank you for your question. The diverter on the side of the showerhead will switch the flow from the shower head only, hand shower only, or both. You can then pull the hand shower out from the shower head and change the spray settings by pressing the rectangular button until it clicks. Best regards, Jon

Need to purchase the rough-in valve for just this item only in our walk-in shower (no tub)

so which valve is it, and the handle on the wall should be what type, that is thermostatic, or multi settings - there's one of the Dryden styles that has 6 settings for the handle) ---the outside trim part that is visible) Model numbers are needed. Thanks!
Asked by: Bill
Hi Bill, Thank you for your question! To run this shower you will need an R10000 rough-in valve and a T14, T17, or T17T series trim in the Dryden collection. Below is a link to our valve-only trim options in Stainless Steel. If you use a valve only trim, you will also need an RP6023SS shower arm and RP52144SS shower flange. http://www.deltafaucet.com/search/results.html?q=Dryden+Valve+Only+Trim+-SS&num=20 http://www.deltafaucet.com/search/results.html?q=RP52144SS%2C+RP6023SS http://www.deltafaucet.com/search/results.html?q=R10000 Thanks, Jon

Can this be paired with a tub-filler, & if so, what extra parts are required, if any? I have T17464-I on order. just saw this & style matches better

Asked by: Vicky
Hi Vicky, Thank you for your question. This shower head can be used in place of the shower head that comes with the T17464-I. It can be installed on any standard shower arm with 1/2" threads. Thanks, Jon
