Is there a cartridge available for this faucet?
This model appears to be the same as what I have. The series 13/14 cartridges do not look like mine. Would they work in my faucet?
Thank you for your question. You have a 1600 series tub/shower faucet. This takes the RP1991 stem unit.

I have either the 636 or the 636C. I would like to upgrade to different handle and finish. What is available that will work with existing plumbing?
Hi Jenn, Thank you for your question!
None of our current trims will fit onto your existing 600 series rough in valve. However, we do offer a renovation kit part number RP54870 which is available in Chrome, Brilliance Stainless Steel and Venetian Bronze. ncludes the following RPs within the kit: RP17443 - lever handle; RP5883 - escutcheon; RP1050 - cap; RP5893 - sleeve; RP196 - escutcheon screws; RP20111 - conversion ball; RP4993 - seats & springs; RP188 - cam and packing. Your choice of shower head, shower arm, shower flange and tub spout must be ordered separately.

Replace tub/shower trim kit.
I have what I think is a series 600 tub/shower combo with a pushbutton diverter. All I want to do is replace the old parts with new ones, keeping the pushbutton diverter. How do I accomplish this?
Thank you for your question. If you would like to keep the push-button diverter, you can purchase the replacement trim parts individually. Please see the Installation Instructions, and refer to the parts diagram on page 3.

Is model 636-C trim (plate behind clear knob with push shower diverted, tub spout, & shower head) available in brushed nickel or stainless steel?
The valve assembly is soldered behind a one piece tub/shower. I don't want to have to take out the tub/shower assembly to update the tub/shower faucet. I would consider replacing all the chrome trim parts or purchasing an entire faucet assembly in brushed nickel or stainless steel if that is a more affordable option. Where would a trim kit or assembly be available?
I need an answer ASAP as I live 650 miles from the house being updated.
Dear Papa fix-it,
Thank you for your question!
We no longer sell 600 trim kits, however, you can use the RP54870SS renovation kit. This will update the valve trim to a brushed stainless steel finish. You can then buy any matching shower head and tub spout to go along with it.

Can the crystal ball be replaced by a handle?
We have here a tub and shower valve that seems to be a Delta 636 standard tub & shower valve with a diverter pin just below the crystal knob. It probably has been installed in 1977.
We would like to replace the knob by a more modern looking handle without changing the plumbing in the wall.
Is that possible? If yes, could you please advise on which parts or trim kit to buy?
Thank you for your question! The knob handle can be replaced by using the RP20111 Conversion Ball and a lever handle such as the RP17443.

What do I have and concersion
I think I have a monitor 1500. We want to convert to nickel finish. Woul I just buy the 1700 conversion kit? The screws are in the 8 & 2 position. Thanks
Thank you for your question! You do have a 1500 series shower trim. The trim can be updated with any T17 (not T17T) model trim kit. However, you will also need to purchase the RP32104 cartridge to use instead of than the cartridge that comes with the trim kit. Please click the link below to view our 17 series models in the Stainless Steel finish.

Can I purchase the plate behind the knob on the model 636.
This is an older Delta model. Is the model 636 and 636c the same. Just need the chrome plate with the push button shower selector hole under the knob.
Hi Bill, Thank you for your question. The RP6046 escutcheon with the push button diverter hole for the model 636-C is still available to order. The escutcheon can be ordered online or from your local retailer or wholesaler that sells Delta products.
