I like a hard shower so in the past I always removed any flow restrictors in my shower head. I have recently purchased a 75821cwc shower head and wonder if there is any way to increase the flow?

Asked by: Mike
Hello Mike, Thank you for your question regarding the Delta ActivTouch® 9-Setting Hand Shower and I am happy to assist you today. This hand shower has a maximum allowable flow rate of 1.75 gallons per minute (GPM). If you are interested in purchasing a similar model with a higher flow rate of 2.5 GPM, we do carry a model in the chrome finish, model 54424-PK. In regards to removing the flow restrictor in your hand shower, while it can be possible to remove the restrictor from our shower heads and hand showers, we strongly advise against it for several reasons. Flow restrictors for faucets are an integral part of most aerators and it is generally not possible or desirable to remove them. Our H2Okinetic showering devices are specifically designed to operate most efficiently at the flow rate controlled by the flow restrictor. Removing the flow restrictor from an H2Okinetic showering device will result in improper operation and a very uncomfortable experience. For water conservation purposes most plumbing codes require faucets and showering devices to not exceed a certain maximum flow rate. Removing the flow restrictors could cause these devices to no longer meet these codes. If you need further assistance, please feel free to give us a call on our warranty line at 800-345-3358 and we will be happy to help you where we can. Thank you, Brandy
