Rated 1 out of 5 by from Leaks like a sieve Bought this product on 6 Feb - installed it in my new shower on the 7th - could not get it to stop leaking at the main pipe. Finally ended up re-installing the originally installed dual head shower. Does not have the same capabilities, but at least it does not leak. Was disappointed that I could not get this one to work. Not the first Delta shower system and was looking forward to the capabilities of this one.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from so far, so good. It works well enough, for now at least, I've read some reviews saying things on it broke fairly soon for some people who purchased it, such as the plastic nuts that hold on the hose, etc, so I'm trying to be very careful with it while using it...I definitely would have been much happier if it were made of more durable materials, such as chrome plated brass or stainless steel...we'll see how long the plastic lasts...it was fairly easy to install, I'm just sick of everything these days being made out of plastic...for the price it should be made of something a bit more durable...

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Good product. Minor improvements could make it great.... We bought this product at Home Depot March 6, 2015 as a pretty good upgrade from the shower head provided at our apartment. Functionality is pretty good although a new user interface with easier functions to use would be nice. I can never seem to remember which configuration I need for the setting I like. All was fine until about two weeks ago, just past the 90 day return policy of Home Depot while my wife was using the pause feature, the plastic lug nut broke on the hose. We replaced the hose with a $20 replacement that has metal lug nuts and all seems fine....was a little disappointed but now that we know it should work, I am feeling a bit better.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Chrome Plastic Connections Crack and Leak I purchased this unit Delta Model # 75830 Sept 30 2014. Easily installed with only hand tightening as advertised in about 10 minutes. Very easy. Loved the dual shower head, as did my wife. However, about 3 weeks later, I pick up the hosed shower head to rinse the tub and the thing starts spraying water from the handle. In an experience straight from an episode from "I Love Lucy" water is spraying all over the bathroom while I am getting soaked and desperately reaching to turn off the faucet. It turns out that the plastic connection from the hose was cracked and only got worse over time. The only thing holding it on is the friction from the holding bracket. Seriously, three weeks?!? You can save money in manufacturing, I guess, but I would pay an extra 50 cents to get a metal connector that would not crack. Compounding the problem is that I had already tossed the packaging and there is no logo or manufacturers name on the product, so it took me a while to find out who made it. I can't recommend this until the connection problem is addressed.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Poor installation instructions, not very good materials I followed the installation instructions to hand tighten all connections. The main body unit must have the connection for the hand spray facing down, but it is not tight until the spray connection is rotated to the top. I was tempted to grab the pliers and force it around another 1/2 turn. I unscrewed the main fixed spray unit and put in a second washer I had laying around. I re-installed it and it was a little better but still loose when the hand spray was pointing down as it should. All parts are chromed plastic which look nice but crack when tightened up with a wrench. This is the 3rd combo hand and fixed spray unit I have installed but the other 2 are some other brand but still plastic. I had the same tightening problem with the other 2, used a wrench to tighten and they eventually cracked. I like the hand spray but I may take this one back and get another model with just the hand wand. Also the hose is too stiff and does not hang straight down. It might relax after a few days. The instructions imply there is Teflon tape in the package but there is not.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Nice looking, but too cheaply manufactured! Just bought it. Installing it this morning, I hand-tightened the main female nut to the pipe as instructed and it cracked in my hand; making this unusable. I'll be returning it today. Delta really has been making their products flimsier and flimsier over the years. What happen to the quality products they use to make?

Main Shower head

Does the spray on the main head on Delta Model number 75830 regulate at different speeds and force like the hand held??? Ive owned other Delta shower heads where both the main head and the hand held had options
Asked by: miked1958
Hi Miked1958, Thank you for your question. The different spray patterns on the model 75830 are only available on the hand held showerhead. The fixed showerhead only has 1 spray pattern. Thanks, Dave

Installation instructions state a "vacuum breaker" may be required.

What is it? Do I need one, is it necessary for the proper operation of the shower (all building codes aside). Where is it installed? Which part number (from your parts tab listing) is appropriate for this model?
Asked by: dutchman88
Hi Dutchman88, Thank you for your question. The 75830 showerhead can operate without the vacuum breaker. You will need to check your local codes to see if a vacuum breaker is required in your area. The vacuum breaker would install at the end of the hand shower hose on the side that connects to the fixed showerhead. The RP4900-PK would be the recommended vacuum breaker for the model 75830 showerhead. Thanks, Dave

What do you do to keep the hand held in the bracket?

I just purchased and installed the shower head. The hand held does not fit into the bracket. Only the flexible hose fits into the bracket, but the hand held falls out easily. I already got hit in the nose with the hand held, when it fell out of the bracket.
Asked by: clara
Hi Clara, Thank you for your question. The hand shower mount on the model 75830 combo pack is contoured to fit the nut that attaches the hose to the showerhead. When the nut is fully seated, the hand shower should be secure. Thanks, Dave

how do you activate the hand held shower.I pressed the buttons on the back of the hand held shower while the main showerhead is on , but i cannot get

any water flow from the hand held. Can you help me?
Asked by: marvelous
You need to turn the main nob next to the main head (across from the holster that holds the hand-held). Turn it 90 degrees and it should redirect the water to the hand-held. Hope that helps.

pause button not working good

The pause button only slow down the water flow may be by 70%. I want to know if it's a defect or is normal. I really like the feature if it can stop the water flow 100% when operated.
Asked by: ck
Hi CK, Thank you for your question. The pause setting on the model 75830 hand shower will decrease the water flow to a strong trickle, but will not shut the water completely off. We do not offer a showerhead with a positive (100% off) shut off. Thanks, Dave

Does the shower head tip?

I need a good shower head for normal use and a handheld shower for a handicapped person. The 75830 seems like it might work but the demo model I saw had the normal head facing almost vertical. Can it be tipped to face downward such that the holder for the handheld will still work? A 60" hose is not long enough. Can I replace the included hose with a longer one? I think 72" is long enough. I prefer stainless or brushed nickel rather than chrome. Is there a similar model in those finishes? Do you have suggestions for a another similar, good quality combo shower head/handheld shower?
Asked by: Jean Aschenbrenner
Hi Jean, Thank you for your questions. The fixed showerhead will pivot. The 60" hose can be replaced by a longer model U495-60-PK is a stretchable metal hose that extends from 60"-82". Model 75830 is available only in the chrome finish. thanks, Dave
