Where is the sensor location?

Asked by: Leew8372
Hi Leew8372, Thank you for your question! With our Touch2O.xt hands-free faucets, the faucet itself is the sensor. When you place your hand within a few inches of the faucet (spout, body, or handle), the water will turn on. The water will then turn off when you remove your hand from the sensing field. You can also turn off the hands-free feature, so that the faucet turns on and off by touch. How does the censor work exactly?

I found a similar answer for the Dryden vessel faucet with touch20.xt and the answer was "The LED base is not a sensor. The faucet works off of capacitance which is the small electric charge carried in your body. Placing your hands close to the faucet will trigger the proximity function to turn on and off..." Is this the same for the Compel faucet? We want to use them for a vessel sink but would be to odd to have to reach around for the sensor to trigger.

Hello Leew8372, Thank you for your question! That is correct the Compel 761T-DST works the say way as the Dryden proximity faucet. Best regards, Brandis

Which drain assembly should be used with this faucet? I would prefer a grid style drain--not a pop-up--for my vessel sink.

Asked by: Cathy
Hi Cathy, Thank you for your question! The grid strainer that you can use will depend on the sink. If you need overflow holes, use the RP6346SS, if not, the use RP47648SS. http://www.deltafaucet.com/search/results.html?q=RP47648SS%2C+RP6346SS&num=20 Thanks, Jon
