What kind of adhesive do you suggest for the apron support? Are the inner post outer post positions for the apron support optional......a matter of personal choice......what is the purpose of the two positions? Should I drill a pilot hole before screws?

Asked by: Phil
Hello Phil, Thank you for your question regarding the Delta Laurel® 60" x 32" Bathtub Left and I am happy to help you today. To install the apron support you may use one of the following adhesives/sealants which have been tested and recommended by our engineers: Below are three adhesives and sealants recommended and tested by our engineers:  DAP® 3.0™ Kitchen, Bath & Plumbing High Performance Sealant  Red Devil® RD3000™ Advanced Kitchen & Bath Sealant  ECO-BOND® Kitchen-Bath-Plumbing Adhesive and Sealant  If you are unable to find one of the brands listed above, we recommend trying to find an advanced kitchen and bath polymer sealant/adhesive or a sealant/adhesive which states it is safe for plastic or polystyrene. When installing model B10311-6032L-WH, please install the apron support on the outermost posts. Please refer to page 6, step 1 in the Maintenance and Installation Manual: https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/79981%20Rev%20C.pdf Please drill 3/16” clearance holes into flanges only and not directly into the studs. A drill chuck can damage the surface of the tub. Use an extended bit holder to reduce risk of the drill chuck hitting the tub surface. If there is anything going forward that we may be able to help with, please do not hesitate to give us a call on our warranty line at 800-355-2721 and we will be happy to help you where we can! Thank you, Brandy

What sealant for bathtub drain

I am totally confused. I purchased a B10311-6032R-WH tub. The instructions for installing the drain state "Do not use plumber's putty to seal between drain and bathtub. Use latex/acrylic sealant or a gasket." My local Lowe's recommended I go to Deltafaucet.com for info. When I looked at the FAQ's, a similar question was asked so I looked at the answer and found that Expert Curtis answered. in his answer he says not to use latex/acrylic sealant. Do I use this sealant or not?

Can you suggest a few types of the latex/acrylic sealant for the tube drain.

The installation instructions state not using plumbers putty at the tub drain, since the putty will degrade the tub material. An acrylic/latex sealant or gasket is recommended. Are there suggestions for the sealant or the type of gasket.
Asked by: CURTIS
Hello Curtis, Thank you for your review on the Laurel 60' x 32" Bathtub Left Drain. I will be more than happy to assist you. Any brand sealant will work as long as it is safe for plastics and intended for tub and all surrounds. We would actually not recommend using any silicone or acrylic/latex sealant as these tend to not stick to our units. I have listed a few that are acceptable: 1. DAP 3.0 Kitchen Bath&Plumbing High Performance Sealant 2. Red Devil RD3000 Advanced Kitchen & Bath Sealant 3. ECO-BOND Kitchen-Bath-Plumbing Adhesive and Sealant If you need anything further please contact us by calling 800-355-2721. Thanks, Sarah Consumer Care Delta Faucet Company

How is the durability on the installaion of this tub?

I seen a review where the plumber had difficulty installing this and that it was flimsy and it wobbled. Is this true? Or did the plumber install this wrong?
