Will this door fit a Delta shower #214836AC00?

Asked by: Pruitt's
Hi Pruitt's, Thank you for your question about the Delta 48x36 Frameless Shower Enclosure. We do not recommend using this with model 214836AC00. The door needs to be installed directly into studs. Thanks, Nick

Can this be installed regardless of which side of the bathroom the corner is? In other words, left or right hand corner?

I saw this in display at HD and it was installed in a right hand corner of the room. The accessories didn't seem to allow it to be installed in a left hand side corner. I need to clarify this before I order. __________ _________ | Left corner Right corner| | | | |
Asked by: SL
Hi SL, Thank you for your question about the Delta 48x36 Frameless Shower Enclosure. The door opening will alway be on the 48 in opening of the enclosure. The 48 in wall, can be on either corner wall, and the installation instructions will show how the installation may be different. Thanks, Nick

I have a 46 1/2” opening.is there a extension for this or is the over width is 46”

Asked by: Reds
Thank you for your question, Reds! B912912-4836-SS requires that the distance between the finished walls is between 44 3/4” - 46”. We do not make an extension to accommodate a larger opening and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Water continue to come out on the outside of the shower

Asked by: Tita
Hello Tita, Thank you for your comment regarding the Delta 48" x 36" Frameless Shower Enclosure. I am sincerely sorry to hear that water is leaking out of your shower enclosure and I am more than happy to assist you with resolving this issue today. Please visit the link below to view the Maintenance and Installation Manual for this enclosure. You will need to ensure a bead of sealant is applied to each component mentioned within the manual on steps, 14-17, 27 and 28: https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/83824%20Rev%20E.pdf If sealant was not applied to the areas mentioned above when the enclosure was originally installed, the unit will continue to leak until properly sealed. If you are unsure if sealant was applied to these areas, it may be best to fully uninstall the enclosure and apply sealant where necessary to get the best seal. Below are three adhesives and sealants recommended and tested by our engineers:  DAP® 3.0™ Kitchen, Bath & Plumbing High Performance Sealant  Red Devil® RD3000™ Advanced Kitchen & Bath Sealant  ECO-BOND® Kitchen-Bath-Plumbing Adhesive and Sealant  If you are unable to find one of the brands listed above, we recommend trying to find an advanced kitchen and bath polymer sealant/adhesive or a sealant/adhesive which states it is safe for plastic or polystyrene. To remove the old sealant on the unit, try to find a denatured alcohol to use and try to steer away from using the below solvents:  Turpentine, lacquer thinner, mineral spirits, paint thinner, MEK, Xylene, Acetone, naphtha  Please follow the drying instructions on the back of the tube/bottle - usually 24-48 hours.  Feel free to respond back to the email I sent to you, if you need absolutely anything else or if the issue persists, please feel free to send us a few photos of the unit so we can better identify the root cause of the issue.  Have a wonderful day,  Brandy

Shower door won't close all the way at the top

the right door closes at bottom but has a 2 in gap at the top that will not reach the wall.
Asked by: lisa
Hello Lisa, Thank you for your question on the Delta 48" x 36" Frameless Shower Enclosure. I will be more than happy to assist you. This seems to be an issue with installation. I would like to ask a few questions: 1. Was this installed by you or a contractor? 2. Was the sub floor level? 3. Was the base level before and after install? I would recommend checking the location of the wall jambs or adjusting the rollers this can case the door to have a gap at the top if they are not correctly lined up. If you could please reply back to my email with your name, address, and telephone number I will do my best to rectify the situation for you. Thanks, Sarah Consumer Care Delta Faucet Company

How does the water stay in the shower and not on the floor at the base of the shower enclosure?

Asked by: Roseann
Thank you for your question, Roseann! The threshold bar and gasket will keep water from getting under the door. The stationary panel will have sealant applied at the base. Please refer to section 14 and 16 of the Installation Instructions: https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/83824%20Rev%20E.pdf Best regards, Jon
