Rated 5 out of 5 by from Trusted name & easy install Full disclosure, my plumber did the installation, but I was there at the time. Plumbers prefer Delta and another brand name to anything when installing valves due to the repeated simplicity of installation and knowing the longevity and reliability of the brand. The valve took my plumber approx. 15-20 minutes to install, including bringing the copper to the valve. It arrived in perfect shape and was well protected in the box. Ask most plumbers, they prefer Delta products due to their quality and this valve has lived up to those expectations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Match I bought this valve and had it in my office in days. What I love the most about delta valves is how simple it is to match the valves with the trims since they have developed a universal valve that takes the guessing out of the equation. Not only that, but if you ever have to change the trim, for example, if you decide to redecorate and change the color of the trims, all trims fit most of the valves! Great buy!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy installation We completed the bathroom renovation nearly a year ago. This valve was easy to install and we've had no problems with it at all.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love the flexibility As a builder I really appreciate the universal nature of this valve...It allows my clients the opportunity to select any trim in the delta catalog without the pressure of deciding early in the build process....thanks Delta!

searching  your site for flow rates  of your r 10000 valve, have a valve installed in a tub only situation and flowing 2.5 gpm at 110 degrees and 55 psi, have a Dryden spout and the water comes out of it erratically, basically not a very nice flow,

Asked by: mike
Thank you for your question, Mike! The flow rate will depend on the trim kit used, the pressure in the home, and other factors. At 60 PSI the maximum flow rate will be about 6.0 GPM with a Monitor pressure-balance unit and 8.5 GPM with a TempAssure thermostatic unit. Best regards, Tanya

I have installed the R10000-IPWS universal valve rough and the R11000 diverted rough. What do I need to finish the job?  What are my choices of compatible trims for both?  Are there any compatible trims for $100 or less?

Asked by: KenP79
Do I also need a cartridge for either of those roughs?

R10000-UNWS versus R10000-IPWS For Tub Only

I need a R10000 unit for a tub only installation. All models seem to be made for a tub / shower combo. 1. Does a cap or plug come with the R10000 so that I can close off the outlet for the shower? 2. What's the difference between these R10000-UNWS and R10000-IPWS? They are priced the same.
Asked by: Denny C
Hi Denny, Thank you for your question. You are correct that none of the R10000 roughs are made specifically for a tub only installation. The R10000-UNWS has 1/2" male pipe thread connections that can also accept 1/2" copper. The R10000-IPWS has 1/2" female pipe connections. The roughs do not have caps or plugs included. Thanks, Dave

what rough in valve goes with 144710-RB-1

Asked by: Andy
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # 144710-RB-I has a R10000-UNBX included with the model. You do not need to purchase the rough-in separately.

R10000-IPWS vs R10000-IP Stops vs no Stops

What are the stops for / what do they do? Are they required for specific installations? Any reason to purchase the rough-in with or without stops?
Asked by: MikeMBishop
Hi Mike, Thank you for your question. The R10000-IPWS comes with built in screw driver stops that allow you to shut the water off at the valve to service or repair the faucet. You would not have to shut off the water supply to the rest of the house. The R10000-IP does not give you that option. Thanks, Dave

does this work with handshowers and shower heads

i have purchase tesla t17t252=pn shower head alongwith 51552-pn handshower . my question is whether this universal unit work the products i have. I dont want to break the wall and fit in another diverter. what are my other choices.
Asked by: uhb
Hi uhb, Thank you for your question. This valve will work with the T17T252-PN Shower Trim. However, you will need a diverter to switch between the shower head and a hand shower. You can use the R11000 and T11852-PN Diverter Trim or a Shower Arm Diverter such as U4929-PN-PK. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/U4929-PN-PK Best regards, Jon

I have a Brizo MultiChoice R60000. Is that different than the Delta MultiChoice R10000?

I would like to purchase the Delta Innovations Tub and Shower trim kit T17430-SSSOS, but do not want to change the rough in valve (as I have no access panel to get behind the wall). Thanks in advance for your help. -Brian
Asked by: Brian
Hi Brian, Thank you for your question. The Brizo R60000 is comparable to the Delta R10000 rough in. The T17430-SS-SOS Delta trim will work with the Brizo R60000 rough. Thanks, Dave

I bought a Brizo t60p410 which rough valve R10000-unbx or r10000-ip?

Asked by: ed
Hi Ed, Thanks for contacting Delta Faucet. With the trim, T60P410, either the R10000-UNBX or the R10000-IP can be used. The R10000-UNBX can be used with any piping such as copper, iron, pvc or pex. The R10000-IP is specifically for an installation using iron pipe.
