Installation Information

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Terrible -- get something else I just purchased this item. I called the dealer right away because it seemed they sent the wrong item. I specified a soap dispenser that could have soap added from the top and this item did not appear to allow that and my plumber who was installing the faucet agreed. The dealer checked with Delta, and they assured her that it was accessible from the top. So, I tried it and the upper section did indeed separate with not much effort. So I installed it -- very easy to do if you have someone to hold the top. But when I tried to add liquid soap (Dawn) it was very frustrating as it would quickly overflow and make a mess. So, I put some soap in very slowly then quit -- I looked under the sink and it was only filled to about 1" deep. Anyway, it did dispense the soap. But when I tried the next day to put more soap in, the upper section would not come off. I put quite a lot of force on it. I removed the whole unit, and tried again to unseat the top section but it will not move. Also another negative: there is no user guide or installation instructions included. I noticed one of the reviews mentioned a funnel -- I got no funnel and the box had never been opened. I will see if there is something better or just a refund.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Nice product, poor design I purchased this with all of my delta products when I built my house. Worked great for about 1.5 years when the hose inside broke. Due to the pump design and lack of hose, it tore/ripped in half causing the soap to continuously leak.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Soap Dispenser gives more grief than soap! We've had our soap dispernser for about three years (bought all Delta and this was the match). It has been nothing but a pain since the start. Little dribbles despite pumping with reasonable effort. Now it has stopped working completely. Tried just cleaning it out with warm water but it's clear. The container is full of soap but it won't pump. I am looking to find another that looks similar but can't find one. Soap disp. and hot water tap finish are stainless and tap is brushed nickel? Suggestions please? Thank you...

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The bottom separated from top part of the faucet. I brought this faucet in 2012 and the bottom part separated from the top part of the faucet just where there is the connection and very little soap is being dispensed. Can this be glued or do I have to replace?

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great looks Have had this dispenser for about 2.5 years and then it quit working. We have used both hand soap and dish soap in it. Can you replace the inner pump and if so, how do you disassemble it? Other than a sudden cessation of operation it worked fine and looks nice in our newly remodeled kitchen.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from needs maintenance I have had this dispenser for almost 2 years. like it was mentioned ,it does not pump as smoothly as it use to. I took the pump apart and greased the o-ring. it works like it use to now. I put some rubber hose on the pump and ran it to a gallon jug of soap. it seems to be working.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Soap dispenser Love this soap dispenser! Looks more traditional and not so industrial because it has a curve! You fill it in the top and the hole is a little small. Remind them to put the funnel in the box when they mail it!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Replacement parts?? We have had this pimp for a few years and has slowly stoped working. Now only getting a little soap out of it. The pump will no longer do a full stroke even after flushing a lot of water through it. This is a brushed stainless finish and can't find a replacement. Can you get just the pump??

Is the RP472280AR Allora soap dispenser metal or plastic?  Also, what size hole does it require?  Thanks

Asked by: ed f
Thank you for your question, ed f! The RP47280AR is completely non-metallic to ensure long lasting durability. The dispenser will work with standard hole sizes however the minimum diameter is 1 1/4". https://media.deltafaucet.com/SpecSheet/DSP-K-989_Rev_B.pdf Best regards, Edward

How to fill this dispenser?

Ok, you have no technical documents available, no illustrations with the previous questions, very poor instructions in the previous answers,if we didn't install the unit, which I didn't. I tried the quarter turn, nothing, I tried removing the pump top, only to find a minuscule little orifice. ( if that is the hole to refill, I am returning this product). Long story short, for someone who has not seen any technical instructions, did not install the product. Just exactly how does a person refill this? Remember you handle this every day, I don't, so please utilize layman's terms

It pulls off the base but chances are you will break a fragile tab in the process (I did). Beyond doubt, the worse design I have ever encountered for a soap dispenser.

How tall is this dispenser?  I need from where it sits on counter to novel height.  It's for a vessel sink that sits 3 inches high.

Is the Allora bar faucet metal or plastic? (Arctic stainless) Is the matching soap dispenser metal or plastic?

The Delta Allora Bar/Prep faucet use either metal and plastic combination or a proprietary mixture of components so that the product has a high quality, while maintaining safety control with the various temperatures of water that go through the product. The RP47280AR is all non-metallic. Delta Faucet Company takes extreme pride in the quality of its products, and strives daily to meet and exceed the expectations of our customers. Best regards, Tanya

Parts

It was my understanding that the soap dispenser package included a funnel to fill it. I received no funnel. There are no directions as to how to open the dispenser and how full it should be filled so to allow air into the bottle and pump to function properly. I don't want to force it open & break a mechanism.
Asked by: dave
Thank you for your question. Funnels are not included with our soap dispensers. All of the Delta Faucet soap dispenser are recommended to be filled from the top. We recommend filling it to the neck of the bottle.

I need installation instructions, just purchased one and it must have been one that was returned.

Asked by: Barbara
Hello Barbara, Thank you for your question. I have also included a link to the instructions below. The soap dispenser installation instructions are on page 9 module 5. Here are the directions for installing the RP47280AR soap/lotion dispenser. Remove the bottle (1). Separate head (2) from body assembly (3). Make sure gasket (4) is properly seated in the base of the body assembly. Insert body assembly through selected hole in sink. Secure body assembly to sink with nut and gasket (5). From under the sink screw the bottle (1) onto the body assembly shank, then attach head assembly. Note: To fill, lift the head and pump assembly out of the bottle and pour not more than 8 oz. into bottle. DO NOT remove the bottle each time as this weakens the neck. Use a funnel to help prevent spills. Pull pump and head assembly out occasionally to soak and pump warm water through pump to remove soap build-up. Note: Initially it may take up to 12 pumps to bring soap to the pump tip. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/51687RevC.pdf Best regards, Tanya
