I see this is discontinued, what replacement part is recommended?

Hi Nancy, Thank you for your question! The RP49758 pull down diverter tub spout has been replaced with the RP53419 pull up diverter tub spout. Best regards, Brandis

How do I remove the connector from the spout?

I just received a replacement spout but the connector is attached to the inside of the spout. The connector from my previous spout is soldered onto the pipe. How do I unthread the connector from the replacement spout? I've tried twisting it with my finger but I ended up with cuts on my fingers instead. Much thanks.

Hi travelrookie, Thank you for your question. Since you will not be using the adapter, try using a pair of pliers to grab the lip at the end of the adapter to loosen the part. You will have the pliers on the threaded inside portion and what will grab on the outside. The adapter will unscrew counter-clockwise. Thanks, Dave
