Rated 2 out of 5 by from Read closely First, this is a nice facet. It was difficult for me to find a 7" spout without a diverter, but this one fit the bill. I assumed the entire facet was nickel or stainless coated BRASS, but in reality it is PLASTIC. Kind of hard to accept paying $120 for plastic, but this is all hind-sight. The other problem is that the facet is suppose to support 7" spigot. My spigot is 7.25, which I knew, but I figured I could hide a 1/4" with caulk. Not the case. With the back plate of this spout, the spout was more like 7.5 inches and I could not screw this on my current configuration. The back plate is steel (thank God!). I put the back plate on a belt sander and sanded away about 1/4" inch to make the valve spout fit. Seemed like the easier thing to do. One more note, there are NO formal instructions with this spout. The instruction are printed on the bag, with black ink on a green background. Making reading the instructions very difficult. Spout is installed. Not to perfection, but it should work.

How does this unit assemble (3pcs)?

This has a wall plate, Spout and plastic Spout insert. Does the plastic Spout insert (connects to outlet pipe) screw on first or does the wall plate attach first and then screw on the insert, which would hold the wall plate in-place?
Asked by: Cosmo
Cosmo, Thank you for your question. Please note that we do not recommend removing the plastic insert. To assemble the faucet, place the plate on the back, then install the insert. Screw or sweat the brass adapter to the pipe, then screw the tub spout onto the brass adapter Best regards, Jon

Is this made with solid metal construction?

A reviewer elsewhere said this tub spout was made of plastic and the description and spec sheets don't specify. On occasion I grab the spout for a little extra support, maybe a bad habit but a spout has never broken off. I'm looking for a tub spout with stainless steel finish but if this spout is made of plastic I'd be worried about its strength. Thanks!
Asked by: Opelguy
Hi, Opelguy! Thank you for your question. The RP54323SS is non-metallic. It is made of plastic. With any of our metal or non-metal tub spout assemblies, we do have to strongly recommend to not use these to pull yourself up with. Doing so may cause serious injuries. Best Regards, Rosanna

What kind of trim handle would i need to go with this if i have a tub-only wall mount spout and i have the matching Dryden faucets?

Asked by: klamee
Thank you for your question. If you have the 1400 series trim, then your handle to match the Dryden faucets would be Delta Faucet model # RP52587.
