Why do the instructions state that you need between "3-7/16" to 3-9/16” of pipe nipple to extend past the wall when the threads inside the spout don't even start until 3-3/4"? I have 3-1/2" of pipe coming out of the wall, but it won't even start to thread

Asked by: SeanFNL83
Hi, SeanFNL83! Thank you for your question. You will want to Install 1/2" threaded pipe nipple to extend past finished wall. For Chrome RP5833 the pipe should extend 3 7/8"-4". Best Regards, Rosanna

How far from the wall flange do the IPS threads start and stop on this spout?

I have 4" of copper pipe and IPS fitting extending from the wall. the IPS fitting has 1/2" of threads on it (so from 3.5" to 4" from the wall is threaded). Will this spout screw on flush to the wall?

How does this attach?

I'm attempting to replace this. I think it threads on. Can you confirm that it has no hidden set screw or anything else?
Asked by: Doug
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # RP5833NN is threaded onto a 1/2" iron pipe.
