Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful design and works just like it should I used Delta Dryden valve trim in my prior home and in my new home at the beach. The design is lovely and timeless, works both with a traditional bathroom design as well as one that leans a little more modern. And as a bonus, it is simple to use and works as it should.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from beautiful got the Dryden for 2 new bathroom builds - installation was through our plumber. love the separate thermo/volume controls. however, the hot/cold sticker on the thermo dial started to peel after a year of use.

Rated 2 out of 5 by from Leaking after 18 months of use. I like the feel and function, but I've had it 18 months, and now the shower drips constantly when its off. Going to have to seek repair under warranty.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Dryden trim handle This item matched as close as possible the fixtures already in the Master Bath. We had the valve reworked from regular control to have more control over hot/cold and pressure in the shower area.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Great shower! Used this for a client - Looks great, worked with existing older supply line so we had minimal replumbing, client is very happy! So is the designer :-)

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Perfect choice. Looked at a few other brands but came back to Delta. Great dual function and beautiful design to boot. Finish is a lovely classic chrome that will be easy to coordinate with other fixtures. Really happy with purchase.

Are there any delta products similar to Dryden for a wall mounted tub filler (no Shower). The Monitor series does not provide adequate flow for a large tub filler and the Roman Filler set will not work for a wall mount.

Asked by: Richard
Thank you for your question, Richard. This Monitor T17051 will flow at 6.2 GPM from the tub spout port with the R10000-UNBX at 60 PSI. With the same valve and pressure, the TempAssure T17T051 trim and RP54323 non-diverter spout will run at 8.6 GPM. This is the highest flow rate that we have available for a tub faucet in the Dryden collection. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/T17T051 https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R10000-UNBX The Pivotal T5799-WL Wall-Mount Tub Filler and R3500-WL valve will run at 8.0 GPM at 60 PSI. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/T5799-WL https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=R3500-WL Best regards, Jon

Hello, The specs say 2.5GPM. I assume this is for the shower port. What is the GPM flow capability of the tub port of the valve. I want to use this assembly for a tub filler only..no shower. Would a high flow rough in help flow?

Asked by: Richard
Thank you for your question, Richard! At 60 PSI, the flow rate for from the bottom port of an R10000-UNBX valve with a 17 series trim will be about 6.2 GPM and the R10000-UNWS will run at 5.7 GPM. High Flow (HF) valves are only intended for shower-only installations and will not increase the flow rate to the tub spout. https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/R10000-UNBX Best regards, Jon

Would it be possible to change the back plate and use a round metal (preferably brushed nickel spot resist) plate for this product? The square plate is a bit too modern for my decor.

Asked by: LosAngeles
Hi LosAngeles, Thank you for your inquiry! Yes, you can replace the escutcheon plate of the Delta Dryden Valve Trim T17051-SP with any of the circular Delta 17 Series escutcheon plate of your choice. https://www.deltafaucet.com/search-results?searchTerm=17+Series+valve+trim Best regards, Tanya

Is this made of metal or plastic?

Asked by: Chris
Hi Chris, Thank you for your question. The escutcheon plate, volume handle, and screws are metal. The temperature knob is non-metallic. Best regards, Jon

can this be used with H55051 in a shower?

We are replacing our Delta faucets in our 14 year-old house. The description for the T17051 & T17T051 is "tub & shower". Does this trim work for "shower only" with the H55051 hand-held shower head?
Asked by: Bebe
Hi Bebe, Thank you for your question. This valve trim can be used with a 55051 hand shower. You will also need an R10000 valve and supply elbow. Best regards, Jon

Looking for high flow 5 gpm single function pressure balanced (one handle, square design) that works with R10000

High flow gpm to supply six function diverter, square design - prefer one handle on trim valve
Asked by: KISS
Hi KISS, Thank you for your question. A 17 series unit, such as this model, will provide about 5.6 gpm (or more depending on the R10000 valve type) from the shower port at 60 PSI. Best regards, Jon

This unit is available at my local plumbing supplier as well as the big box stores - is there any difference in material, quality, parts, etc?

The unit in the box store had a plastic handle. Is it available with metal handles?
Asked by: granolla
Thank you for your question. As long as the Delta Faucet model # T17051-SS is the same model number in both places, then it is the exact same faucet. It was manufactured the same way and made with the same quality parts. It does have a non-metallic handle on it for this series. There are other series that contain metal handles.

Which rough valve should I order for the DEL T-17051-SS in a new bathroom?

I have seen conflicting information---Home Depot says to use R10000UNBX, but plumbing supply says R10000-UN T&S. Also, same question for the T14051-SS Thanks
Asked by: golforme
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17051-SS and model # T14051-SS will use the same valve. We recommend Delta Faucet model # R10000-UNBX. The model R10000-UN is the exact same model but it has to be ordered in case packs of twelve so it really depends on which supplier is giving you the best price.
