Does this valve need to be a certain distance from the diverter (6)?
Is there any preference for which component is in which spot on the diverter? I have rain-shower head, handheld and body sprays? does it make a difference in which placement they are on the diverter for the best water flow?
Thank you for your question! The diverter valve can be installed almost any distance from the main valve trim. However, please make sure that the valves are far enough that the trim plates do not meet.
The different showering components can be connected to any of the 3 outlet ports on the diverter valve.

ON/OFF and Temperature handles move together?
Just had this installed in my new shower and I see that the temperature and the on/off levers move together when I turn on the water. Is this the way it is supposed to be? I was under the impression that the two handles are set independently, that is water on/off lever moves independently from temperature lever. As it is currently installed (newly installed) when I turn the water on, the temperature lever moves with the on/off lever. Please advise.
Thank you for your question. Both handles on the model T17053-SS do move together. However, the temperature dial can also be adjusted on its own. Once it is adjusted, it will stay at that position even when it moves with the pressure control handle.

Need separate Vero Wall Tub only set
Can I purchase the Vero showe/tub faucet set for separate walk in shower and separate bath tub. Since, don't see a tub set only, can I use the shower part with the value trim for the shower, and use the bath spout for the tub and purchase a separate vero monitor 17 series to complete the bathtub? If so, what additional items would be required. Or, if you have the tub only set, please direct me to it..thanks
Thank you for your question! We don't have a tub only valve trim set in the Vero collection, however you can purchase the Vero Valve Only Trim, T17053 and add a Vero non-diverter tub spout, RP48333. We do have a shower only trim kit with the valve trim and showerhead. The model number is T17253.

How does the construction of this model compare with the T17067-SS?
This model costs significantly more than the Ara Monitor Series valve only trim, model number T17067-SS, but the features are identical and the appearance is similar. Is there a difference in materials or construction?
HI Adrian, Thank you for your question!
The T17053-SS and T17067-SS are manufactured with the same components. Prices vary by finish and the collection style.

Compatibility with T11853 Diverter
Will a pressure balanced valve work with T11853 Diverter or is it necessary to purchase the thermostatic valve?
Thank you for your question! You can use either a pressure balance or a thermostatic valve to supply water to the diverter.

What is the GPM for the T17053 Trim
Hi Brian, Thank you for your question. The flow rate is determined by the combination of the trim, rough, and your household water presure. The T17053 trim with a R10000-UNBXHF rough, and 60 psi pressure will produce 6.6 gallons per minute.

What is the on/off position of the handle
My contractor put this valve trim on for me, and I find that the off position (start position) is at about 4 o'clock like shown in the picture. But the farthest I can push it to is 1 o'clock at most. Is that working as expected? The on/off texts on the trim seems way off from where the handle is.
My second question is where is the temp control supposed to be positioned? Mine is installed to be aligned with the volume control as coldest and can travel 180 degree to be hottest.
It looks to me the volume handle walking distance is a bit too short. Could my contractor do anything wrong? Thanks a lot!
Hi Baldmice, Thank you for your question. The motion of the volume control handle on the model T17053-SS is as you describe from approximately 4 o-clock to 1 o-clock.
The temperature control is also working properly with the coldest temperature aligned with the volume control. The range of motion depends on where the rotational limit stop is set. It sounds like your unit is properly installed.

how to remove volume control handle and sleeve on T17053
we need to loosen so that we can tile behind the install bracket
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17053 has two handles on it. One is for volume and one is for temperature. You should be able to pop off the temperature handle by squeezing the sides together and then pull the knob off. Underneath there is a screw that can be removed so you can remove what you need.
