how do i remove the handle to replace the rp46173 adapter?
Thank you for your question, Dolores! First you will need to shut the water off to this unit or home. Next you will need to pry off the temperature knob cover and then unscrew the phillips head screw holding the temperature knob on to the cartridge stem. Once this is off, the volume control handle will also pull off the stem. Unscrew the bonnet nut counter clockwise and pull the cartridge straight out. The adapter assembly may be screwed into the valve body. Remove the screw and then pry the assembly out using the provided tool that is included with the RP46073 adapter assembly. For further assistance with this repair, please contact us directly at 1-800-345-3358 Monday-Friday: 8a.m.-8p.m. EST and Saturday: 9a.m.-6p.m. EST or via email at email@example.com.

For the T17094 chrome version, do the words on/off and Delta have some kind of coloring on/in them? They appear gold-ish in the picture.
Thank you for your question. The escutcheon will have engraved letters like the other finishes.
It uses the RP34354 plate:

What will I need to purchase
I have a Rain Shower and hand held shower and would like to replace the American Standard with Delta products. I'm considering the Linden Monitor 17 Series - Model T17094 and the Delta 3 Setting 2 Port Diverter - Model T11800. Do these come with the cartridges and what rough valves will be needed for these two products. Also, my hand held shower and arm are in very good shape, do I need to replace them if I'm switching to the Monitor 17 and Diverter above?
Thank you for your questions. Both trim kits T17094 and T11800 come with cartridges. Model T17094 will need the rough-in R10000-UNBX while T11800 will need R11000. You can also use your current hand shower with these trim kits.

Will T17094 work with R10000UNWS and does it have "Monitor" Feature?
If I run a "Compare" with other models, it shows that the T17094 does not work with Multichoice Universal Valve, and does not have the " Monitor" feature. Is this correct, or is it just a mistake in the web site?
Thank you for your question! This trim kit will work with any R10000 MultiChoice Valve and also has the Monitor pressure-balance feature.

What else is required
I am replacing my tub/shower with just a shower. I would like to have hand shower, rain shower, both as settings. I am purchasing the following on Amazon
T11894 - 3 Setting Diverter Trim
R11000 - 3/6 Setting Diverter Rough
R10000-UNBXHF - MultiChoice® Universal Rough - Shower Only
51405 - Slide Bar Hand Shower
Does this monitor come with the cartridge for R10000-UNBXHF? Also which 50560 elbow do I need for 51405? Is this everything I would need for the replacement?
Thank you for your question. It looks like you have almost everything you need except the raincan showerhead, the shower arm, and the shower flange for your setup. You will need the 50560 for your handshower to supply the water. We have several raincan showerheads to choose from and three sizes of ceiling mount shower arms which include the flanges.

Is this available in thermostatic or can it be converted?
I believe I read that the 17 cartridge is interchangeable with the 17T. Is this the case?
Hi Researcher101, Both the 17 series and the 17T series cartridges will fit into the R10000 universal rough. However, you cannot convert a 17 series to a 17T series simply by changing out the cartridge. The cartridge, trim sleeve, and entire handle assembly would all have to be changed to make the conversion. The same would be true to convert back from the thermostatic to the dual function pressure balanced cartridge.

Does this require replacing in-wall plumbing?
I would like to replace my generic single function (temperature only) shower valve control but do not want to replace anything behind the wall. Will the T17094 be compatible so that all I have to do is remove the current shower valve control and install the T17094?
Or do I also have to install the universal rough valve too?
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17094 does not need to have the valve replaced if you have the R10000 series rough in valve already in the wall or you already had a 1700 series valve in the wall. If you have the R10000 multi-choice valve in the wall, then you can replace the new trim easily. If you had an older valve in the wall, you may still use the new trim, but keep your old cartridge. The cartridge that is included with your T17094 will not fit in the older valves.

Diverter to add hand shower
Installing the RP52382 with the T17094 and also want to add Vero Wall Mount Hand Shower 555530. What diverter is needed in the wall?
Thank you for your question. We would recommend using Delta Faucet model # R11000 diverter valve along with Delta Faucet model # T11853 diverter trim to complete this faucet set up. By using this rough and trim, you will be able to use the showerhead or the handshower separately or together.
