Thank you for your question, and I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing an issue with your Delta Monitor T17252 shower unit. We recommend to remove the temperature knob and cover, push the sleeve assembly back as far as it can go. This will allow the volume handle assembly to be pushed back further and the temperature knob and cover to be tightened so that the volume handle does not have so much play.
