Finish: Venetian Bronze
List Price*: $308.20
Delta® H2Okinetic® Showers look different because they are different. Using advanced technology, H2Okinetic showers sculpt water into a unique wave pattern, giving you 3X the coverage of a standard shower head.* The end result is a shower that provides more coverage, more warmth and more intensity for a truly drenching shower experience. With separate handles for volume and temperature control, this Delta tub/shower provides a more refined showering experience. Simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle - without interrupting your set temperature. Delta® pressure-balance valves use Monitor® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. An ornate blend of deep, warm tones and subtle highlights give Venetian Bronze® a hand-brushed look that can transform a bath. Offering a smooth contrast to light tones and coordinating well with darker ones, this finish can have a beautiful soothing effect on almost any space. Delta WaterSense labeled faucets, showers and toilets use at least 20% less water than the industry standard—saving you money without compromising performance.

Delta’s proprietary H2Okinetic® Technology creates a shower experience like no other. Each shower head and hand shower contains an internal system that controls the speed, movement and droplet size of the water, which creates the feeling of more water than a standard shower flowing at the same rate.
Delta Monitor® faucets feature pressure balance valves, which protect against sudden temperature or pressure changes to keep the water in the shower within a safe ±3.6° F.
Some people, and some local codes, require fixtures that are compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. If someone may visit who has special needs, or if you believe future buyers might appreciate this feature, Delta offers a range of compliant fixtures.
This option provides a single control that operates both the temperature and volume together.
MultiChoice® Universal Valve
MultiChoice® Universal Valve
The MultiChoice® Universal Valve allows you install one rough in the wall and then choose from three different shower functions as well as various styles.
Rated 5 out of 5 by AB31 from Great So Far I was apprehensive about the shower rate of 1.75 GPM, but I find it to be plenty -- the H2Okinetic technology works for me. The dual-function control levers are smooth and feel solid. (This system was installed by a plumber.) The Matte Black finish looks great and is holding up after 6 months.

Rated 2 out of 5 by edennerose from Finish chips Just like other reviewers the finish on our shower system began preliminary within the first year. It’s disappointing, this also happened on our trinsic faucets and seems t e an overall issue with delta matte black products.

Rated 1 out of 5 by SK from Finish is peeling After only 2 years of light use, the Venetian bronze finish is peeling off of the hose attachment. Extremely disappointed with the quality of the product.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Bob from Not For Us This Delta DSS Trinsic 1701 does not work for us. Not enough water flow/pressure to get the job done. Plenty of hot water and pressure elsewhere in our new home but not in master bath. Love the look but function is not there. We wasted hundreds of $s on what we were told was an excellent fixture. If there is a fix I would love for Delta to post it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by billylikewingies from leaks, poor pressure Turned on the water after the shower kit was installed by a plumber and a steady stream of water flowed out of the face of the shower head at the perimeter I don't know if this is the cause, but the stream is also very weak.. Can't return it since it's been installed, so now I get to deal with Delta and see if they will honor the warranty.

Rated 1 out of 5 by chrissymay from Cheap looking Ordered the entire line up for my bathroom remodel, down to the robe hooks. Started opening the fixtures and noticed the bath filler is plastic and has already arrived chipped. Also, the color finish from item to item (even items boxed together) varied. Some were darker than others, while some looked chrome. Not impressed at all by this set. We did return and are exploring different brands. I can not speak for usage as we did not install. I can only speak in first impressions.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Anonymous from Hate the showerhead I bought the one in brushed nickel. The shower head came in chrome not nickel. The spray of the head is weird. It is not a straight spray. So if you want to get to the edge of the spray and just spray one part, you can't really do that because the water moves. It is not at all a powerful spray. I really hate the shower head. I mainly bought this because it came as a set. I bought it for the separate temperature controller and separate sprayer. This knob to control the spray and temperature is very stiff. I believe my installer switched the hot and cold. It's not very easy to control the temperature, but it does work.

I want to purchase the Monitor 17 Series T17259 Shower Faucet Trim plus R10000-UNBX, Compel Premium handshower (55085) and wall elbow (50560). What else do I require? I do not understand earlier response re R11000 or T11859. Do I need both?
Hello Faye, Thank you for your question. Yes, you would need the Diverter Rough-In Valve R11000 and the matching Trinsic 3-Setting Diverter Trim Kit T11859 to complete your shower installation. The diverter unit will allow you to switch between the shower head and hand shower individually as well as a shared setting. Best regards, Tanya

I just installed this and noticed the water is not heating well. The hot side of the valve is correctly installed and I removed the shower stop ring so that the water control can go as hot as possible. still luke warm compared to the hot faucet. Help!
Hello MattF, Thank you for your question. The Delta Trinsic Shower T17259-BL contains a rotational limit stop that may need adjusting to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. Included here are the instructions for adjusting the limit stop. The limit stop should not be removed from the cartridge assemby. The directions are on page 9 of this booket. http://www.deltafaucet.com/customersupport/documentation/t17259.html?document=mi&documentIndex=0#flashWrapper Best regards, Tanya

What does the button labeled OFF control? It shows in the picture but there is not explanation of what it does.
Hi Barb, Thank you for your question. The model T17259 has the words off and on etched onto the round escutcheon, but no off button. The on/off are showing the handle location relative to the water flow. Thanks, Dave

https://www.deltafaucet.com/bathroom/product/T17259-BL This says it's a "shower trim." Not sure what that means. Does that mean it does NOT come with the hand shower that it shows in the picture? I tried to search for your hand showers couldn't find.
Hello Richard, Thank you for your inquiry! The Delta Trinsic H2Okinetic Shower Trim T17259-BL does not come with a tub spout, it comes with shower head, arm, flange, cartridge assembly and valve/handle trim parts. Best regards, Tanya

temperature & volume control relationship
I have 2 showers with T17259 shower controls and they both work the same. If the volume control is turned down, the temperature gets colder and can't be maintained hot enough no matter what the temperature lever is set to. If the volume is set close to full on it works fine. The safety temperature limit is turned up all the way on both of these. What can be done about this?
Hi Brad, Thank you for your question. The valve is designed to provide only cold water at low volume as a safety feature. We recommend to use the faucet with the handle all the way to the "ON" position. Best regards, Jon

Brand new shower and no one want to use it because the water doesn't get hot enough. My plumber has adjusted the cartridge as much as he can. What can I do?
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17259 contains a rotational limit stop that may need adjusting to allow more hot water to flow through the valve. This was just installed and the handle is very stiff and squeaks. What adjustment can be made?
Hello Samsun79, Thank you for your question! I am happy to help you! I would loosen the screw a bit on the handle of our Delta T17259-BL, and the squeaking may be caused by debris. Debris can be removed by doing a flush of the valve, To flush the shower unit, please follow the following instructions: 1. Shut off water supplies. 2. Remove handles, sleeve, and bonnet nut. Pull out cartridge and adapter. 3. Flush the rough by shutting your shower door or curtain, then turning on both supplies for 30-45 seconds to blow out any debris that could cause a less than perfect seal. Shut supplies back off. 4. Reinsert the adapter pieces, then reinsert the cartridge. 5. Reassemble the parts, and turn supplies back on. Please contact us back for any further questions. Best Regards, Nicole

Does the Trinsic series come as a complete shower system? Shower head, trim kit, hand held shower. Looking for the 2.0 water pressure and in a matte black
how do I remove the temperature control handle so I can readjust the temperature limit stop on T17259?
Hello Tim the Plumber, Thank you for your question! I am happy to assist you! The Delta T17259-CZ temperature knob can be removed by pulling the rounded end off carefully, which will allow for the top tab to be released once it comes off. Please contact us back with any further questions. Best Regards, Skyler

I've installed a 17 Series shower trim. The temperature control lever snaps on, as described in the instructions. How can I remove it (to adjust the temperature limits underneath) without breaking the snaps?
Hello Bruce, Thank you for your question. We are happy to help! The temperature knob cover would snap off the same way it snaps on. To remove the knob cover from the T17259 shower trim, disengage the rear snap then unhook the front of the cover. Please reach out directly if you have any questions or need additional assistance. Best regards, Bryan
