PRODUCT FEATURES
With separate handles for volume and temperature control, this Delta® tub/shower provides a more refined showering experience. Simply set the water at your preferred temperature and turn the shower on or off with the volume control handle - without interrupting your set temperature. Delta pressure-balance valves use Monitor® Technology to protect you and your family from sudden temperature changes. The pause setting gives you ample space for shaving, lathering and other shower tasks, then easily restarts the water with the temperature where you left off. This spray setting helps you conserve water, so you can worry less about depleting your supply of hot water - and you help the environment too. While other products may gather unsightly mineral build-up over time, Delta soft rubber Touch-Clean® spray holes allow any mineral residue to simply be wiped away for an instantly refreshed look – with no need for soaking or the aid of chemical cleaners.

Makes tub/shower look brand new!
I can’t rave enough about this Delta shower/tub set! It comes in different colors but I received it in a chrome finish. It looks very high end and is made very high quality. It completely redid the look of my bathroom. The shower head is really nice and the water comes out soft and massaging. It really looks polished and doesn’t really show water marks. I’m super happy with this product by Delta and plan to get another set for my other bathroom but in a different color. This wasn’t too hard to install and took about an hour to install it myself.

Quality Product!!
Delta is a trusted name in bathroom products so we were anxious to get our new showerhead, faucet and accessories. We had a plumber install our Delta Lahara set because we wanted it done correctly. The instructions did seem easy to follow, but we prefer having a professional do our plumbing in our home. This is a very attractive stainless unit with some plastic parts and it works so well. I especially like the two handle feature that allows you to set the temperature so it is always the same whenever you turn it on, no adjusting the temperature each time you use it! It allows you to shut it on and off without changing the temperature. The showerhead has a nice flow, comfortable but not forceful and has five different spray adjustments, which we really like. If you have calcium build-up on the showerhead, you can clean it easily by just running your fingers over the soft spray holes. This is a very attractive unit and it works well for our family. As with most stainless products, there are water spots when finished, but it is easily remedied with a quick wipe with a damp towel. I would definitely recommend this product to others looking for great Delta quality.

Well made!!
All the pieces where well made and had great heavy duty weight to them. The look is classy and elegant. Love the shower head and the amount of sprays it has. I already had this type of set up in my shower so installing this was a breeze. I plan on buying the matching sink set.

This Delta Faucet trim kit looks great in my shower. It gives my shower a whole new look. It's easy to install and operate. The water pressure is 2.50 GPM. It also has full body spray which makes rinsing easier. I would recommend this faucet kit.

Great Flow
This shower head allows water to flow comfortably but not forcefully. This is definitely not a massager shower head. The shower feels relaxing but doesn't make me feel like it's taking longer for me to rinse my hair than our former more forceful showerhead did. We didn't think we'd care that the trim has two handles, one for pressure and one for temperature adjustment, but we both have been happy with this feature. It's nice to turn the water off without changing the temp of the water you're standing under to freezing cold (even just for that split second). Also you don't have to find that perfect temp spot the next time you shower because the handle is still in the same spot. By the way, Delta calls their nickel color stainless.

Delta makes good products and this is no different. It looks fancy but most importantly it is functional. One thing I do like is the temperature adjustment is separate from the water pressure adjustment.

Great Upgrade
Picked this up abou a month ago. I needed to replace aging old system in my guest bathroom. I liked the color and have been a fan of Delta for a long time. As my previous unit in this bathroom wasn't a Delta. I had to call a plumber to do some of the work, that I was not capable of doing on my own. After that I finished the install myself. It feels like a brand new shower. My guests have said that they want to change there's out as well with this model.

Temp Control is awful
I have adjusted the temp control and I freeze in the shower because the water is not hot enough. It's not my water heater either because I've turned it up to see if it will help. My daughter complains with it also. Love the faucet but not the temp control wished I had never got the temp control

Dripping when off
I chose these with the "upgraded" bronze finish for my new home built in 2015. This tub/shower faucet is in an auxillery bath, and is seldom used. It is already dripping when off. Delta is sending me replacement seats and springs, so we'll see if this solves the dripping. Interesting to note that Delta has discontinued this model 17T. I suppose I'll be replacing the entire faucet if this problem isn't solved. Very disappointed.

Although the dual function shower trim seems quite good, both the tub spout and shower head are plastic colored chrome. I would not have purchased if I had known this and I had to purchase another tub spout as a replacement.

Great product and style.
We had our pressure valve and housing replaced with the Delta fixtures in our master bath shower. The service was done by Heating and Plumbing Paramedics out of Noblesville, Indiana. The service man, Austin, was very knowledgeable and professional. The work was completed in two hours and the Delta fixtures for our shower are very stylish and the shower performance is awesome. We love it. Will definitely contact Plumbing Paramedics in the future. Have recommended this business to several home owners that live around me. I'm sure they will be calling when they need plumbing or heating needs in the future. A JOB WELL DONE and thanks!!

I love it
I absolutely love it. There are two main things I absolutely love. The first one (and most important), it keeps the temperature. That means, that if somebody, flushes the toilet (with the previous system I used to literally burn myself), turns on the laundry machine, washes dishes etc etc I AM FINE. Nothing changes in my shower. The second one: since it has two handles, one is to turn the shower on or off and the other one is to set the temperature. That means that from one shower to the next, you can keep the handle in exactly same position (temperature) and not have to suffer going from cold to hot.

First one, included with a trim kit, was missing the metal plate that goes between the main body of the cartridge and the separate 'feet'. Delta did immediately send a replacement which works as intended.

Nice integrated single handle with temperature control
Single handle was new concept for our shower. We use single handle in kitchen and bath. The temperature control with water volume works well. You can have temp. set so that whenever you enter shower it remains at same temp setting. No problems,works well. I would definitely recommend this tub and shower faucet !

Is the loweer tub spout designed to use the "C1" method of attachment like the directions state?
I do not want to solder on an adapter as in the "C4" method. I just want to slip the spout on to the 1/2" copper pipe and tighten a set screw.

how do I get the temperature control cap off to replace interior parts

Thank you for your question. The temperature knob cover can be removed by prying up on it from the tip. It should separate from the gray temperature knob, which has a Phillips head screw. Please be sure to turn off the water supplies before disassembling the faucet.

Can I install T17438 trim in an existing 1400 series rough-in?
My plumber inspected and said this would work but on disassembly I discovered the new cartridge adaptor RP46973 did not fit the bore of the old rough-in. Is there a different PN adaptor available for installing the new cartridge RP46463 in a 1400 series rough-in? See attached photo showing differences in old and new parts.

You have a older 13/1400 series tub/shower. You will not be able to switch over to a T17 series without changing the valve body. Your unit can only use a T13 or T14 series trim but you will have to use an existing RP19804 valve cartridge and not the new multi choice cartridges included in our current trims.

Can I use my existing rough-in?
I am updating my bath fixtures with the Lahara Monitor 17 Series Tub and Shower Trim. The Lahara will be replacing existing Delta Monitor fixtures (I'm unsure of the trim line or part #s), and there is no change in layout or addition of extra features like a 2nd shower head or jets. Can I use the rough-in that is already installed, or do I need to purchase and install a new one?

Thank you for your question! To identify the original unit, directly below the handle there should be a series number on the escutcheon plate.
This trim will work with existing 1700 series valves. However, you will need to use the existing cartridge (or RP32104) rather than the one that comes with the kit.

Caulk Tub Spout
There is no waterproofing included between the back of the tub spout and wall. Should this space be filled with caulk? I'm assuming the seam should be caulked between the spout and wall.
