We are adding the hand held shower to this unit. I understand we need the T11853 diverter to make this work. Does this mean the pull up handle on the tub spout is no longer needed? If that's the case, can we get a spout that doesn't have handle?
Another question: We also need a R10000UNBX. Just curious why this doesn't come with the T17453. Thanks!
Thank you for your question! When you turn the water on, it will automatically go to the spout. You will need to have a diverter spout to send the water up to the 3-Setting Diverter, which will then route the water to the shower head, hand shower, or both.
The rough-in valves are sold separately to allow you to choose which R10000 to get. We offer different versions depending on the application, such as what type of piping will be used, whether you prefer stops (WS), or need higher flow (HF). The UNBX or UNWS versions are recommended for most applications.
