Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Thermostatic Valve We had our contractor put this valve in the shower in our recent master suite addition. It has a nice polished look and good feel to it. It seems like it is made well and it is nice to be able to leave it on your temperature selection for your next shower.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Beautiful and functional We have 2 in our master shower, one to control the hand shower and one to control the rain shower head. Both work well and the separate controls for water temp and flow are well designed.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from We buy Delta because of the customer service. We have bought and lived in several homes. Ten years ago we bought a home which required renovation and an addition. At that time we bought our first Delta faucets for our kitchen and main bath. We were unaware of the quality of the customer service. After several years of service we noticed our shower was leaking. We called Delta explained what was happening and the individual on the phone knew exactly what we needed and sent it immediately no questions asked. Once we received the parts we were struggling with the repair. So, we called Delta again and a very nice gentleman referred us to an applicable video that showed exactly how to perform this repair. We have had an occasional issue and have received the identical service. At that point whenever any of our other plumbing fixtures were having issues we did not even try to repair them. We threw them out and replaced them with Delta products. We could not be more pleased with Delta.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Seems to be well engineered Seems to be well engineered, high quality, and works as expected. We used all Delta fixtures and accessories in a recent shower remodel and all seem to be well engineered, and good quality. Delta seems to have put more thought into the design of their products than most manufacturers these days. We would purchase again, but dont think there would ever be a need, unless we just get tired of the looks of the fixtures.

Q&A

I'm looking at the T17097 & the T17T097, and trying to decide which model would best suit my needs....

What is the differences between a "Dual-Function Pressure Balance Cartridge" and a "Dual-Function Thermostatic Cartridge", and do they both perform the same functions?
Asked by: Norm
Thank you for your question. Delta Faucet model # T17097 uses a dual function pressure balance cartridge. The temperature is maintained within 3 degrees using a balance of pressure between the hot and cold water. The temperature can vary between seasons due to the water temperature coming into the house. Delta Faucet model # T17T097 consisitently monitors the tempature by measureing and automatically adjusting the water mix. You can set the temperature of the water and leave it there.

We purchased a Cassidy 17T shower valve, i'd like to change the temperature of the water output, how do you remove the temp handle w/out breaking it.There is no screw to remove it. Thank you!

Asked by: Monte
Thank you for your question, Monte. This model has a cap on the temperature knob that you can remove by hand or by carefully prying it with a small tool. This will reveal a Phillips head screw. Please refer to page 7 of the Installation Instructions for further help adjusting the temperature limit stop. https://media.deltafaucet.com/MandI/68883%20Rev%20I.pdf Best regards, Jon

Does the Venetian Bronze finish match the Oil rubbed Bronze finish?

I have a Windemere shower head in oil rubbed bronze but I want to change the valve to the Cassidy multichoice which only comes in the Venetian Bronze.
Asked by: Bill
Hi Bill, Thank you for your question. Venetian Bronze is a dark brown finish with copper colored brush marks throughout the entire surface. Oil Rubbed Bronze is even darker, almost black, and has copper colored highlights on the edges only. Although these finishes are very similar, the difference is noticeable. Best regards, Edward

we just had the brass box flange R10000-UNBX and the 1 handle shower head T17294-RB1 installed today and the hot water is luk warm at full while the bathroom sink is hot enough to steam. Can we adjust the hot side of the flange box to increase hot water?

Asked by: Delta 55
Hi, Delta 55! Thank you for your question. There is a rotational limit stop that can be adjusted so that you can adjust to get hotter water. Here is a link to the how-to video on how to adjust the rotational limit stop: https://www.deltafaucet.com/video-gallery/video-page-1?videoId=n2_uZ7wgV1I Best Regards, Rosanna

Replacing a Speakman Sentinel Pro SM 5060 valve but retain the existing shower and tub spout with pull up diverter. Installation instructions for either the T17 or T17T state maximum separation valve to spout as 18". Existing is 27" will it be OK.

Asked by: Bill B
Hi, Bill B. Thank you for your question. The distance from the Delta MultiChoice Universal R10000 and the tub spout assembly must be between 8"-18" to avoid shower rise to the shower head when water is on at the tub spout assembly. We do apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Best Regards, Rosanna
