Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good quality, installation gotcha In replacing a Delta roman tub faucet (set screw on rear of spout) I was advised by Delta that any of the trims beginning with T would work with the existing valve. Unfortunately they didn't indicate that the base of the 2705 series doesn't cover a secondary hole that was part of the existing trim. Before ordering, remove your existing trim and see if your deck has a second hole (used for a 1/4" pin that stabilized the existing spout-see photo). The solution per Delta support is to use BT-2710-SS. It doesn't use the hole, but the spout base is large enough to cover the hole. Or fill the hole with silicone. Note: To align the handles you may need to disassemble and reverse the valve stem, not covered in the instructions. Overall, a high quality, affordable trim kit but be aware of these issues.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from I doesn't work like advertised The description and picture says these are 1/4 turn lever handles....as one would expect lever handles to operate. Not so.. the required rough-in is 180 degree turn valve. so you need 1/4 stops. they are supposed to be supplied with the trim kit, (it even mentions them in the trim kit installation sheet??) but were not. I called Delta and they explained they don't supply 1/4 turn stops because then it would not have full flow capability...important for a tub...yes. The Delta rep. said you should set the lever handles like shown and they turn 180 degres toward you, but with handles on 8" centers they hit the spout. The solution would be to have a rough in valve made for full flow at 1/4 turn, but this doesn't exist. Funny, they got it right on the matching lav faucet. This one is a mess.

What cartridge is used to accommodate these faucet handles?

Asked by: John
Hi, John! Thank you for your question. The Delta T2705 roman tub unit uses RP24096 stem unit assembly. Here is a link to this part: https://www.deltafaucet.com/parts-product-detail?modelNumber=RP24096 Best Regards, Rosanna

Which trim to use

I have a T2705 with Crystal Knobs and a RP14979 with a crystal know. What would be the best replacement in A nickel finish?
Asked by: ko
Hi Ko, Thank you for your question! Please check to make sure the spout has a set screw on the back. If so, any current T27_ trim kit should work with the existing valve. However, you will need access below the deck to change the transfer valve trim (RP14979) if the unit was installed prior to 2006. Our Stainless Steel finish is similar to a brushed nickel. Can I use trim kit T2705 to replace old clasic Model 2750 that has end valve assembly PP4972 (stem RP24096)?

Cosmetic remodel of a bathroom. The old Roman tub faucet has an end valve assembly of RP4972....and contains RP24096 stem assembly. Will new trim kit T2705 work?
Asked by: Jerry
Hi Jerry, Thank you for your question. The T2705 roman tub trim will not work with the rough in valve from your model 2750. The spout connection is not the same. You would need to switch out the rough to installl the new trim. Thanks, Dave

replacing the trim to my roman tub

I think I currently have the T2710 trim kit installed in my tub (just bought the house) and I think it was installed in 1994. The set screw is on the back of the faucet. There is no access to swap out the rough-in, and I was hoping to update away from the brass fixture currently installed. Are there any trim kits I can use? I was hoping to swap to the T2705 or something similar.
Asked by: The Basian
Hi The Basian, Thank you for your question. In most cases where the roman tub spout is attached with a set screw in the back of the spout the current trims will fit on the existing rough in valve. To verify if the new trims will work please compare the spout connection on your current faucet to the connection of the R2707 rough. If the connections are the same the new trims will work Picture attached: http://www.deltafaucet.com/bath/details/r2707.html Thanks, Dave

HOW CAN YOU CHANGE HANDLE ORIENTATION

PURCHASED THE CLASSIC ROMAN TUB TRUM T-2705 TO REPLACE A OLDER CROME DELTA ROMAN TUB FAUCET WITH KNOB HANDLES. THE ROUGH CAN NOT BE CHANGED AS THERE IS NO ACCESS . THE LEVER HANDLES GO ON BUT ONLY ORIENT TO THE INSIDE POSITION WHEN OFF. THE STEM IS THE ONE THAT WAS UNDER THE OTHER HANDLES AND CAN ONLY GO IN ONE POSITION. THE NEW HANDLES FIT ON BUT POINT TO INSIDE. IS THERE ANOTHER STEM UNIT THAT i CAN USE TO CORRECT THIS?
Asked by: PHIL
Hi Phil, Thank you for your question. Make sure the raised portion of the stem assembly faces to the right on both sides, hot and cold. This should orient your handles properly. If the portion of the stem that you screw the handle into is plastic you will want to change the stem units to RP24096 which have that portion in brass so the handle set screw doesn't puncture the side. Thanks, Dave

Switching Trim on Roman Tub

I have a roman tub with a Delta faucet that I'd like to switch out. I have no access under the tub to touch the pipes/rough-in set up/valves. I have H616 lever hot and cold handles in brushed nickel and brass (two-tone). I also have roman tub faucet T5722-SS installed right now with H616 handles. I want to remove them and replace with the Cassidy T2795-LHP faucet and H695 cross handles in polished chrome. Can the trim be easily switched out using the same valves and set up?
Asked by: Gen P
Hi Gen P, Thank you for your question! If you have the T5722-SS trim kit or any model that has a set screw on the back of the spout, you should be able to use the T2795-LHP with the existing valve. Thanks, Jon

Can T2705 be used with a 600 series rough in valve?

Renovating our bathroom and purchased the trim kit. A lot of water leaks from the spout. Handles fit the valves fine.
Asked by: E
Thank you for your question. I will need clarification of your model numbers, please. The 600 series rough is a single handle tub and shower rough in valve. The T2705 is a roman tub trim. The two are not compatible at all.

What cartridge model is used with the T2705 Roman 3 hole model?

It is leaking and I wish to change the cartridges Thanks
Asked by: Cam
Hi Cam, Thank you for your question. Your model T2705 faucet uses the RP24096 stem assembly and the RP4993 seats and springs to control the water flow. Replacing these parts should stop your leak. Thanks, Dave
