Delta has good design & material quality
Delta faucets have little or no plastic parts. There instructions are very good. The “Champagne Bronze” was very attractive & modern looking in our remodeled master bath. The kit that I got included a hand held shower unit, a regular shower head & the intergrated volume/tempertaure controls. My only die appointment was I wanted a rain shower head. I could not “substitute” a rain head in place of the standard head that came in the kit, so now I have a Champagne Bronze shower head with no home.

This product is everything I was looking for and plumber approved.
Our plumber was happy to see I chose a Delta product for our shower. I choose the brilliance stainless steel and it looks so nice. Easy to keep clean, wipes right off. The H20kinetic is a big plus that I originally did not consider but heard good reviews about it. I'm really glad I went with this product. I am scoring 5 stars on the ease of installation based on the plumber's comments.

We love our new shower! We installed the Delta Linden design series in three bathrooms in our new beach house. This shower head is great, the controls are easy and resists water spots.

I installed this particular one in a rental house about a year ago and so far no complaints. I have 2 of the monitor 17 series in my house. One is 10 years old the other 5. I like the fact that volume and temperature are on separate controls. For the money I think the Deltas are an excellent buy as I have not had any issues with them at all. Great styling choices.

Is this one & the same shower head?
Hi Nitfly, Thank you for your question. The RP70173RB showerhead is the same showerhead that is included as part of the model T17294-RB Linden shower trim. The trim includeds all of the external faucet parts and the cartridge.

The Linden model shows two handles, one for volume and one for temperature, but doesn't list TempAssure as a feature. What is the difference between this and models that list TempAssure as a feature?

Thank you for your question. The biggest difference between the Delta Linden Shower 1700 series (T17294-RB) and the 17T series is how the temperature is maintained for the user. When using the 1700 series, the temperature is controlled by the pressure in the water coming into the faucet. If the cold water suddenly gets turned down, like when someone flushes a toilet, then the hot water will also be turned down to avoid scalding.
The 17T series works thermostatically to maintain the temperature balance with 3 degrees of where you set the dial.

will this trim kit fit older style valve if I use old body and cartridge?
Hi Tom, Thank you for your question. The T17294-RB will work on an older 1700 series valve body if you continue to use the old cartridge. The trim would not work on an old 1300/1400 valve body that only offered temperature control in a single handle, not temperature and volume control like the 17 series.

Does the head pivot on the shower arm or is it stationary?

Reversed hot and cold connections
I have installed the R1000-UNWSHF Multivalve (high flow shower only) with the hot connection on the right side versus left. I am usinmg the T17094 Trim kit. Other than rotating the valve insert so the HOT mark is on the right side, is there anything else I need to do for proper operation and appearance? Do I need to replumb abd switch the hot/cold supplies?
Hi Kevin, Thank you for your question. Rotating the cartridge so that the hot side of the cartridge matches up with the hot water supply will solve your issue and have the faucet function properly. No other adjustments will be needed.

I have a model similar to; Delta Faucet model # T17294-SS which is a dual handle faucet. I would like to replace this with a single handle faucet.
Are the cartirges compatible, I do not want to replace the brass housing and just want to switch out the cartridge and outer finish parts.
Hi Steve,
Thank you for your question. If your current faucet has the R10000 Multichoice valve you will be able to switch to the single handle 13/14 series trim and cartridge. The R10000 came out in February 2006, the brass valve will have MC stamped on top, and the bonnet nut will be silver. If you do not have this valve you will need to switch out the entire faucet trim and rough in.

Can I get an extension for this shower head? I would like it to stick out farther from the shower wall. it must still be in chanpaign bronze
